Now I've decided to ride the bike until i find MOtul 5100 4t 15w50, and the moment i find it, I'll straight away change to it.
Thats good. BTW dont rip your bike till then, ride peacefully. Since you were asking about castrol, Castrol Activ Xtra 20W50 is compatible with the pulsar 220, (the only one actually)

Dude is it?? coz i went on search for motul 5100 4t ss and valvoline premium 4t, one guy showed me Castrol active extra 20w50 synthetic, i was on a doubt as it costs only 240 bucks, so i didnt purchasedalso i located some threads saying castrol is hell for pulsarz.

Now Im totally confused on what to pick!!

Here are the options available now:

      1. Bajaj 10000 dtsi
      2. Castrol Active Extra 20w50 synthetic(located one vendor)
      3. Valvoline 20w50 semi synthetic(not yet available).
      4. Motul 5100 4t SS (no chance in chandigarh or neighbouring cities, so might consider ordering it)

      please suggest fast

btw is it true that p220 requires 1.5l engine oil??

I meant use Castrol Activ Xtra 20W50 only as a last resort if only u are unable to find any other 20W50 oil. Other wise Motul is the best!

P.S- use 1.2 Litres. Buy two cans (1 litre each) use one completely and use 200ml from the other one using a caliberated container and keep this one for such "200 ml top-ups" in future

AFAIK 20w50 - 20w40, there shouldn't be much of a difference under normal riding conditions.

20w50 mineral oil of any good make . ELf , Gulf, Castrol has it . After you've run 7-10k kms you can change to Valvoline or Motul semi-synthetic 20w50/15w50 . What's the problem with the bajaj 20w50 itself ?
