Exclamation Getting Bike moved from Noida to Pune

I have a P180 back in Noida which I want to get in Pune as I am now working here. I have some questions about the same:

1. Can I ride a UP registered bike in Maharashtra without any cops trouble (What I have heard is that Out of state bikes without NOC and re-registration result to some sort of challan?)

2. How much would it cost (approx.) to get my bike transferred from UP to MH including transportation charges.

3. Is it better to get my bike here or look for a new/second hand bike (if getting bike moved to MH is costly/time consuming).

Thanks in Advance

Getting a NOC from the RTO(The one from where your bike is registered) is a better idea.

GATi will cost you Rs2600 while Indian rail(private carriers) will cost you around Rs1500.

If your bike is relatively new then there is no point in selling unless you are looking for a new bike.

^ what he said.

And Pune is hell no matter what regn you running. Cops here have immensely greasy palms. Getting a MH regn done would prove out to be too expensive.

even other wise one does hot have to change the registration number they just have to get the bike reregisterd to the new RTO as change of address... i still remember when my sis got her Chandigarh ristered number changed it was a special number CH 0* * 0013. which i got after like 1 week of going here and there for a HONDA ACTIVA :P

1. Why to bribe?
and 2. They ain't satisfied by 50 or 100 I got a ticket for 1300rs penalty for riding a KA bike without NOC

@MG: So I just need a NOC from Noida RTO?? or do I have to submit some papers here in Pune RTO too?

I have stopped keeping any vehicle with non MH plates because of the special attention and harassment I used to get from COPS. Have paid a lot of fines in the past its just not worth it.

That is one of a Reason I have not got my bike yet. And Pune is a place where you should have a bike, so many nearby locations to go for biking on weekends.

To add to that, the process is like this:
You get a NOC from orig RTO.
Pay taxes (if you're in Kar - pay ~lifetime tax for <3 yrs) and re-register. Time = 3+ months (friend's noida esteem exp in blr) - 53k for a 2.5 year old car in Bangy.
Go back to main RTO for what they may decide to refund.

Pay off touts at every corner.

Net result = Blithering waste of time and money.
