And if the bike is 3+ yr old? Do I still have to give Entry tax and all??

Moving scoot from Noida to Mysore

Hi Guys.

I have to send my bike back to Karnataka asap. I'm looking at the train option but I've heard stories of horror about transporting bikes by train, and mine being a fiber-bodied scooter wont help much. Also I am looking towards Packers because of the door to door service, as I cant trouble my dad to keep checking with the railways every day for arrival of the package.

Contacted one "Safe packers". They are quoting 4000 for moving the scoot from Noida to Mysore. Anyone heard of them? Is the price quoted okay?

Had contacted Agarwal Packers also, after reading a lot about them. They're asking 7000 + 10% tax. Agarwal option dropped.

Have not been to the station to enquire. How much would the railways charge?

Bad experience with Safe Packers and Movers

Had been to Nizamuddin Railway Station to send my scoot by train. The officials there informed that a vehicle cannot be sent out as unaccompanied luggage from any of the NCR railway stations.

Finally decided on Safe packers. They promised delivery within 10 days but it took them 19 days. I had been calling them everyday for 9 days now. They had an excuse every time, and promised delivery "the next day", which finally came today.

Things I did not like about them :
- They did not keep their word of delivery within 10 days. Even 12-13 days would have been fine with me .. but 19 is almost double! The worst part was the "next day" promise, which was re-iterated every day for 9 days. It was tantamount to mental harassment.
- They did not pick my calls almost 75% of the time. Tried to avoid answering me.
- Heck, they did not even pick their counterparts' calls. Delhi office had no contact with B'lore office. The Delhi guy was as helpless as me.
- They did not send a truck to pick my scoot. They just sent a person, who rode it from Noida to Gurgaon! Which means it was not packed in front of me. From meter reading it seems they used it for their errands also, the odo went up by 200 kms between Noida and Gurgaon !
- They left the scoot at destination, without even waiting for the person, who was supposed to collect the vehicle, to arrive there. Just drop, call n leave.
- Scratches to body panels. Actually, we are prepared to incur some damage during transport, but I mention it here, just to document that they did not do anything great in terms of quality of service.

This is one packer, whose service, I'd never want to use again. I'd ride my Dio back to Noida from Mysore if I have to, but never trust "Safe Packers".

N.O.C for my bike - pls help me

i have a new pulsar 220.i am in bangalore.I got job in noida.
in the mean time,i may get a offer in tamilnadu also.
what is the procedure to change my bike registration to other state registration?
i think i must get an N.O.C.?
What are the things must be done by me?
i have R.C(SMART CARD),Road tax & Insurance,everything properly.
i don't want to bribe &get this done.
kindly help me out.

(getting n.o.c is not particulary transfer to one city.if i didn't move to noida & going to some other place now,is the same N.O.C applicable?)
