AFAIK, you can. It should be a direct fit.

Lightbulb Headlight info

i don't want to create a new thread so i am posting here.

the 180 ug4 is all dc and uses a 35/35 headlamp.
can it run a 55/60 avanger headlamp?

do we have to change the stater plate to avenger one(dv111005) which everyone did up to ug 3?

Nope you cannot run the 55/60 watt bulb directly on the P180, you would have to replace the coil with that of the avengers. I guess even the P200 requires such an upgrade. Cant confirm if the same can be done with the UG4 though, as i give no ones done it as yet.

for what in the world would you like to do such a thing to your bike? The toe shifter is actually an improvement to old one and you want to go back to that era

I doubt the Avy coil will fit the P180 UGIV. Avy has AC/DC combined circuits while P180 UGIV is all DC. Maybe the P220 coil is different and more powerful. You can look up in the parts catalog and verify the parts numbers to find out if they are really different.

Do you have the user manual? Please post the electrical circuit diagram here. Then, I can say with surety, whether Avg coil will fit.

But, I feel it can take 60/55 easily without any mods, just like the Zma.

i dont have the service book with me,help anyone?
the avys coil is (dv111005)is stronger and do the job very nicely till ug 3 models.

i need more light on my ug 4 180 and i am more than happy with my ug2 180s light(avys coil+phillips x tream power). please guys help.

The 200 coil is same as that of the p150/180 UG3 s. same old 35watt coil. the avengers have 65 watt and even the p220 has 65watt.

Since UG4's run on DC headlights probably the coil they have must be same as that in a p220.

post some pics of the connector of the coil located under the seat near the tank.
