Wink Help with the Pulsar Please ( P220 Dtsi MOD )

Hello Guys,

i bought the Fastest Indian about a month ago, its nearly 1100 km now, 1st servicing done..... i have not been following the break in rules and all, I am least interested in dat... i dont care much about mileage, or warranty...i had pushed it to 148kmph (speedo) with still a little juice left (had to break cause of a stooopid truck).... I even tested my 0-100 timing and it came out to be 9.xx secs !!!!!!!!! well even i was shocked... but i must add here dat i dint use any V-box n all... it was a very informal way...

i used my cell phone for dat.... i used my microphone.... placed it near my collar button, under a jacket ( 2 avoid wind noises) and started recording audio... i took position, and said "start" n twisted the throttle hard... i shouted "Stop" loudly AS SOON AS I HIT 100kmph... or more, cause you know sumtimes the speedo directly showed 102 after 96.... and the average timing came out to be under 10 secs... ie.. 9.XX secs, you may call it incorrect but human reflexes are fast enough and there is negligible error... might b a max of 0.1sec difference... the only thing left now is the speedo error... but even on speedo 0-100 under 10 secs is reely good.. (i hav lately installed K&N 1100, n upjetted but der wasnt much difference without it )... i would wana add that i weigh only 56kgs !!!...

I am very happy with all this but still i wana push it to its limits... i dont care much about warranty... i have to use this bike for a year or so... den I wil be buying a new one (a 600cc probably, wanted to buy a 400cc now but i just turned 18 and this is my 1st bike) ... so no LOOOONG term reliability factor also... (but i don wan much hassel in this 1 year)

===========================
so with nothing much to fear about I am all set to modify the Fastest to make it EVEN Faster !!!

i need suggestions.... Past Experiences.... Dos n Don'ts --- etc etc

i have a budget of roughly 25k but if its absolutely necessary i can push it to 35k...

what i have in my mind is :

1> high lift piper cams (any suggestions which profile for d 220 ?)--- shud i go for totally new cams or work on d present 1 to make it better ? (n how is that done ? hehehe)
2> Porting n Polishing cylinder Head
3> Increasing Valve size (if there is a possibility)
4> tuned free flow exhausts (keeping d ExhausTEC, as it is)

i already have K&N with upjetting.

i have read about boring the engines to higher Cubic Capacity... like pulsar 180cc to 220cc.... was wondering if i cud make mine a 250 or may b 270 cc... but don no much bout dis... where wud i get d proper piston n all ? Plz throw some light on dis...

I am more interested in acceleration than top speed but m not interested in sprocketing n all... don wana sacrifice one for d other.

what sort of a Performance Gain should i expect if i do all these ???(0-100 timings, top speed, BHP ) n its side effects ?

what are your suggestions ? what should i go for ? in what sequence ? what shud i avoid ? what to expect ? any past experience ?

BTW i am in PUNE, any nice reliable place here to get these things done ??

will be waiting,

Thanks

@ shrivastav

There are two jets in the carb... Pilot jet and main jet... They are like screws with holes in them... Larger the hole, higher is the jet number.. Eg 115, 120, 125... Etc
Feul passes through these passage... (correct me if i am wrong people)
When we install K&N we allow more air 2 flow... And we upjet to allow more fuel into d carb... As d ratio has to be maintained... 14.7 :1 for economy and 12.5 :1 for max power.
Upjeting should cost u around Rs 150. Here in india pilot jets are hard to find... So ppl mainly change main jet... Main jet comes into play frm 2/4th of the throttle position.
With K&N 1100, mine worked well wid 135.

hey i also bought a pulsar 220dtsi last month...
i too was thinking to do something to gain the bhp of the bike... but till now i have only reached 125km/hr on the 4th gear at max rpm..
i hav joined the xbhp team in chandigarh and they told me to drive the bike really fast on the highways so to open its engine fully then add an k and n filter to increase the performance...
but my bike is just giving an average of 36...
what should i do to increase its mileage and to run it on top speeds like the person above said(148km/hr)
plZzz rEplY....
