how does Fi matter in the perfomance of bike?
Is spendin 10k only for fuel injection worth it?
I'v heard des difficulty in cleanin Fi if in case fuel is impure..

FI gives the bike a slightly better top speed and mileage. I suggest you take a test ride on both bikes and decide for yourself. I personally feel that spending 10k extra for a FI unit is not worth it. You could probably think about the RTR 180 aslo.
Right now, 11 Bhp at 7500 Rpm.

this whole thing is already been discussed in WHAT BIKE SECTION in detail...
and if you're considering FI then go for RTR180...
        the reason why is here:

All the probs which the FI was facing (the first and the second batch) has been sorted out by the TVS by changing the injector unit to a bigger and improved one so FI is now rocking all the way....(old one was black in colour and was small compared to the new one which is silver in colour and little bigger)

Given the price tag of 180 its still cheaper than FI by good 3-4 grand and still you get that white colour, tubeless tyres with 110 at the rear, one inch long but more rigid and thick swingarm (FI's and RTR's swingarm is connected after the mudguard, but 180's connected before it and you can see the diff very clearly),and a carb which allows you to fiddle with the engine for more power and all.....
there's no hell of a diff in the power delievery of both the bikes...

FI revs more quickly and throws the tacho needle much better than the 180..but 180 is more deriavable and it has power spread evenly at all the revs whereas in FI you need to fall in particular RPM (after 4500 it wakes up,it puts Nike's at 6000,and beats P.T. usha after 6500...,though this state of power comin is almost same in 180 but it calls for fewer gear shifts,(may be those puny 20 cc's and little more NM's helpin in the department),

And man the way it sounds while doin it cannot be compared with the 180..

to feel the diff in the power of both the bikes you need a track to feel whr and how these bikes are better in thr powerbands and all those 20cc's and 1.03 P.S do is add more to the top end...(it runs on 46 tooth rear sprocket too and FI on 44)

same god handling package, superb brakes, and a little more poke which in expert's hands will beat FI in track as well as in twisties...

        FOR both FI and 180:

1.for the city riding that you'll most of the time doing, you have to keep the bike in low gear,it will massage you from 5200-6000 real good.

2.FI is more fuel efficient than the 180 and in 4000-5000 riding will award you with 60-65 kmpl ( i get 45-50 with my kinda riding that includes shifts at 9000RPM 80% of the time)

3.no maintainence issues will be thr with both and now with improved injector unit you wont be reading complains for Fi in the thread too.(read my 500km report on the new injector system thr)

4.It'll be really tiring in long tours thanks to the aggressive riding position and the vibes that make totally impossible (specially in the FI) to ride at 75-80 as it makes the most vibes thr and generally it's the touring speed.

If you have noticed that FI thing is not so successful in India....E.g-Glamour cme with FI unit and went back without any notification....Pulsar 220FI is good but now they have launched p220 carb...RTR 160 is so that the mechanica dont have the knowledge to handle it....And Stunner FI will cost 72000 which is very high priced....so in my opinion opt for Carb
