Finally caught up on the Indianapolis GP and boy what a rider Spies is shaping up to be. He's achieved more halfway through his premier motogp season than what previous WSBK converts have achieved in their entire motogp stints. Beating in form Lorenzo and GOAT Rossi is no mean feat by any stretch of the imagination. And Hayden take a bow for making a fantastic ride outta your handicapped circumstances.

I for one don't agree fully with people who say electronics are bad it should be removed completely.
Things are evolving and riders should also evolve to those machines and stop living in the past sulking in the past race glories...
Electronics are good; it is the electronics that riders can analyse so much about their riding style, their bike, their speeds through straights/corners, etc but use should be judicious. Riders shouldn't be left like they are handling a remote control.
As I said everything is evolving and I feel eventually that balance will be prevail.

Exactly....their use needs to be limited in such a way that it makes for interesting racing.....not eliminate them.....as the GOAT said himself...they just need to take a bit out here and there....from anti-wheelie, anti-spin etc....

Also Electronics are good because they filter down to the production machines and things like traction control makes riding a 1000 a lot safer and gives one confidence and ability to ride faster....

anyway I believe racing would be better with 1000s as it gives riders plenty of torque to play around and everything will not revolve around the correct line and corner entry speed......they say that with 800s the opportunity to overtake is somewhat limited as taking a different line from ideal..(what the other guy may be taking)...automatically puts you at a big disadvantage.....

looks like Rossi's crew including Jeremy is moving with him to Ducati. saw this piece of information on BBC one during the Indi race. according to the BBC 1 reporter the announcement may come most likely at Rossiland ie Misano.

Melandri has let himself loose here. What joy can he get flagging other riders when he himself is struggling so much?

And have you read Stoner about Rossi. Quite agree to what he says.
autosport.com - MotoGP News: Stoner criticises Rossi over Ducati test

The last para is signature material.

I think this is the best Stoner has done this season....both on and off the bike.... (now don't stone me ..)....Hope a certain Mr. Rossi responds...that too by his riding (not by talking....)

Melandri has been through a lot....3 frustrating seasons...and he is capable....maybe the frustration got to him

Pedrosa on pole...hope Honda's wonderboy does give jorge a run for his money (a Championship's worth)...maybe even pick up an equal number of wins as Jorge before bowing out until 2011...

Some seem too busy talking the talk...Pedrosa, Jorge, Spies, Hayden among others are the few doing the business on the track and walking the walk it seems...
