Peak power and torque remain the same, the ecu has been tweaked, obviously this means the power curve has been altered, must be for the low end power people were complaining of, maybe the red line has increased? the sprocket sizes have changed, i guess this is all to compensate for the extra drag of the wider front and rear tyres.

Pricing is good, fairly cheap for a decent entry level bike and a looker as well.

Yikes, the front half and the rear half look like they have been taken from two differently sized bikes. Not good.

Yamaha is really going HH (HMC) way with R15 and FZ series of bikes. We expected more from them.
++... They did exactly same as HH( HMC ) in case of FZ, now for R15 I wish it's not the same cosmetic mod only, the rear looks soo hot but we need performance as well . Really craving for ride report.

There is a huge wave of disappointment in Yamaha enthusiasts.. despite a significant improvement in the design and look of the bike..

The sole reason for the disappointment is the huge expectations that got built up for the past 1-1.5 years.. Had Yamaha brought this upgrade a year earlier, it would have been welcomed by one and all without any complaints..

Usually a product taking this long for launch has something major coming up.. and hence all the speculations and expectations.. IMHO, just the design change shouldn't have taken this long..

Its about time Yamaha brings up something in 250cc segment.. and they better be quick about it..

P.S.: I am still hoping for some miracle numbers with the ride report.. Optimism never goes out of fashion..
