We never had to worry :P, what ever the bump in power, it would still be a smaller engine at the end of the day , lets wait for a bigger bike and then be worried

This bike lacks the cohesivness of the earlier design. The front and the rear end looks mismatched. The front indeed looks smaller and tamer now compared to the contemporary rear.

Other than that, its a nice refresh.

(Oh! And Joelled bike owners can heave a sigh of relief too! )

According to me, most of the performance seekers have already picked the bike in the last 3.25 years. This bike is for the people who did not pick the bike due to the plain looking rear & cycle tyres; and obviously for the posers.
All in all, a good move by Yamaha. 7k increase for a much sweeter looking bike is no big deal.

Its upto Yamaha to now ensure it doesn't got the Honda CBR250R's way - delayed deliveries & quality issues (earlier batches).

I did enjoy the webcast, until it screwed up just after the bikes were ridden onto the stage.
An amazing initiative from Yamaha. Gives the other manufacturers something to think about regarding the way they launch their bikes.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
