It is all over the internet, Bandhav. You don't need to see the bike in flesh to notice that. Also, if you did happen to read a few previews/ reviews/ road-tests of the machine, in some, it is actually mentioned that the 250R sticker's absence might very well mislead people to believe that it is actually a 600cc machine!

As for seeing it in flesh, I would love to, someday. Trust me!

There's going to be no self cleaning. If you get dirt in your tank, you better hope the fuel filter does it's job properly. Otherwise you're going to end up having to disassemble a fair bit of the bike to get to the injectors and clean them.

The self correcting bit they are talking about is probably the lambda (oxygen) sensor in the exhaust. This is used in a closed loop FI system to measure the AFR. As he also mentions it needs CO setting less often, this would be because of running a closed loop FI. It measures the CO (not exactly, but a direct cousin of it) continuously and adjusts in real time

Also since it is running a modern ECU, there's going to be a port for a diagnostic tool (similar to the 220FI) somewhere. This port will allow the mechanics to read out all the status codes and, if present, failure codes to more quickly diagnose a problem. Sort of car technology.

That's about all there is to it.

Also about the Hard seat, that I believe is a standard feature in MOST sports bike... The hardshell on R15 was more like a joke

I guess the edit part is a hint? After all Bajaj, I would expect, will do the needful to promote its own brand (or the collaboration). So some cosmetic (stickering kind) changes are expected possibly.

Make no mistake here, there's going to be no benefit to performance modders, except for maybe being able to swap the exhaust muffler. Any changes that let more air into the cylinders, like K&N air filters, will still require a reprogrammed ECU, since the lambda sensor can only adjust within certain limits. For situations where you're driving with a large throttle opening, it still runs open loop. (It ignores the feedback from the sensor.) And this is where enough fuel really matters.

Two Catcons (to get rid off ), a port to study the ECU maps... a Lambda sensor to allow even a small bump (people here even make do with a FID) ....throw in a PC3 and bingo!

@rennycornelius: The pillion seat can be replaced with a seat cowl ala the SBKs, look here: Kawasaki Ninja 250R | 2009 Accessories
Thats the advantage of having a split seat!
Bikes like the R15, Interceptor etc.which have a single seat will have the cowl strapped on.

Thats what the internationally going Ninja comes with. Well thats just the news that I have .
Btw... even I haven't seen any "250R" on the Indian going model (which are all over the net).

EDIT: One more thing that I can remember of is about that gears, you have to come to neutral always while you move from 2nd to 1st gear... you cannot go directly from 2nd to 1st... and it seems like works like that for all Ninjas (donno what it means and how it works).
