It is raining Leh here. Bring them on.
All men dream, but not equally. Those that dream at night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act upon their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. - T. E. Lawrence

You impressed me Vivek. I've always beleived any bike can scale those heights as long as the rider is tough enough. You're one example for that.

Make sure you have an impressive blog as well, coz i'm gonna point your blog to all those who make noises on cc's and horse power for this journey.

With his ID firmly reassuring his confidence in 100CC, I doubt it was an experiment.

It was 3 years ago when i first saw the beauty of the terrain of ladakh and immediately i made my mind to attempt it when the roads open in 2009. As planned everything went smoothly but something had to go wrong. I shipped my bike from Gati Andheri to Ambala as i didnt want to drive in the plains i reached ambala 4 days after i shipping the bike and was shocked to hear that the bike hasnt reached ambala and waited for 2 long days in ambala cantt after which i learnt that it would take still 4 days to reach ambala i raised my hands i returned to Mumbai and redirected the bike from Ambala towards Mumbai. Maxx and sunandan had been waiting for me in manali for two long days and they were ready to wait but i didn't want to spoil there plans so returned thanks to those guys ...........This is how my first attempt to Leh failed and i promised that i would do it come what may next year

                            22nd 23rd May 2010

The day of we departing from Mumbai finally came Aditya came down to Mumbai from Pune with a Booked ticket of Garib rath having waiting list 105,106..........so i had a plan b also i had booked 2 tickets in Mumbai Udaipur Bus and from Udaipur chetak express to Delhi S Rohilla......It was 14:55 i had lost all hopes of our ticket getting confirmed so switched off the computer and decided to board the bus from Ghatkopar at 15:30 it had come down to 35, 36 waiting list .

At 15:05 i got a call from my brother saying the ticket has been confirmed at first i tought he is playing a prank but decided to check it out Myself and to my shock we were alloted whewwwwwwwww !!!! Now the trip was really on ...............Boarded the train from Bandra at 16:55 which reached Hazrat Nizamuddin next day morning where Saurav had come to pick us .............Went to his house freshened up moved to buy tents which might be required to stay and moved to Vibhors house in gurgaon to pick up the bike......... Stayed at Vibhors House had a Feast and hit the bed ..............We were supposed to start the next morning from Gurgaon and do as much as possible because we really hate to drive in the plains we miss the curves of the mountains.
