By the way both the R15 did not posed any sort of trouble. and while returning we covered hell lot of a distance in little time..... and also followed the riding rules as Archi said earlier!
I think he meant size-wise yar, comparing to other machines. Haven't ridden archie's R15, but yours was amazing man. Awesome brakes, and good overall control due to light weight and low CG.

Also, engine was butter smooth, and gear transmission was a bit difficult due to my inexperience riding the R15, but there was a certain "click" while gearing. In my bike, its more like a "thud".

wonderfull ride, good that everyone reached back home safe and sound, considering the rain. and man, it was really frightening to hear that madcatz had to ride back on the GQ without a front brake. it is always good to check the bike thoroughly before venturing for such a lng ride.

@kiran: excellent write up, very detailed, made me feel like i was there for the whole ride. we had a similar break down on the palamner to poonganur road, when tandeeps Tbird died and refused to start, it was a completely deserted spot, so i opened up the fuse box and found that the fuse had burst, so installed a spare from the 500 and started riding, then again it died, after finishing off the final spare fuse from other bikes, we decided to stop over at a fuel station. the prob was that whenever he pressed the horn button, the fuse goes off and the bike dies. some mechs looked into it and refused to work on it as they cudnt trouble shoot. then we did the wiring check up ourself and found that the cable going to the horn was touching the exhaust and has melted the plastic and contacting the wire inside, hich was leaking, so got it taped and rode off with a good experience.

very sad that i cudnt ride along, i just cudnt convince my folks to let me ride back to the same place within a month. plus the ongoing rains made it clear i do not touch the bike for a good 2 weeks. hope to meet you all in some g2g soon.

@steve: fantastic pictures da.

@Badriyan: Thanks dude. Looks like riders who visit HH get a free break-down gift. We missed a pro-camera and a pro-photographer on this ride.

Steve and DarthVeda, very nice pictures. Seems a great G2G there.

I see a different kind of tank bag (not like cramsters) on an Unicorn. Could I get the details??

back to the log:

After an excellent lunch, which was not the case for few , it was time to head to the cottage, Lots of us just went for a quick nap which just extended well into the evening. When I woke up the fog really had set it and after usual chatting session it was time to take photos of the bikes...

After dinner, we decided to go for night riding with the fog, we soon headed out of the cottages and on our bikes into the darkness and soon realised that in fact we were heading around in circles it was eerie to see my own shadow infront of me casted on the fog courtesy: headlamps of the P220!!

We then decided to head out of the summit and into the ghat road for few kms... We reached the first curve and decided that we should take a video of this ride, I hadn't bought my camera so I headed back with Eshwar giving company, this is where my bike problem started. It refused to go on, it would start and then shut down... After numerous tries by me and Eshwar it worked and Eshwar somehow got it back to the cottage. I swapped my bike with Kiran's Karizma and headed back. We did a formation ride in the dark and the video came out great (i will upload this soon don't worry).

This is the power of neutral light! as noticed by Steve

We then headed back to the cottage, everyone was chatting till late night. Me and Steve were discussing plans of riding in dec. and places to visit in Karnataka. It was time to hit the sack as we had to get out very early in the morning to catch the "sunrise".

Sure enough I wake up at 0800 and to my surprise no sunrise still as we are covered by fog

We got ready and went to the view point and ecological park nearby after a quick breakfast.

After this it was time to leave Horsley Hills after a wonderful time there...
