ok. So I took some time off from office and decided to go for a spin. I hit the wakad Hero Honda showroom. Very nice lady who explained very nicely that we do not have any test ride bikes. I tried to push for it but didnt get through. Then I asked if I can at least see the bike - and she said yes, go down. So down I went two floors and in one nook and corner - almost hidden from view was the white ZMR.

I stole a quick moment with the bike when I sat on it. It really felt good - perfect for my size and good position. Then I got down to examine it - To tell you honestly, I was not awed by it probably because I had had high expectations. The stickers (Hero Honda) on the side were peeling off. I asked the guy there if they are supposed to be removed and he said yes, they will be removed before delivery. The ZMR sticker also was looking like, well, a sticker.

I asked him to just start the bike - after some no no, he got the key and started the bike. The display looks great. The rev meter in the middle is meant to give you a feel of the rpms more than anything else. Good!

I asked the service center guy what is the difference between the older and this one. He said the fairing - . I knelt and examined the bike a little more. The fairing has certain scrapes towards the edges. I think it may be due to the loading/unloading of the bike. He told me that the bike is going to be delivered tomorrow (the first pune delivery?) to a guy who lives nearby. It is his b'day tomorrow.. Anyone from xbhp??

I asked him what will they do if he refuses delivery (considering the scratches and all..) - he didnt have an answer. I think they will offer this to another guy, but I can imagine the same happening to me. I will not take the delivery if I was offered the bike that was sitting there.

Then he showed me a black ZMR that was also sitting there. Black looks refreshingly sleek. Though I think white still scores on top of black. If black's shine is maintained, I think black is going to be a more popular color.

THen I went back to the showroom level and gave my contact details to the lady to call me if and when they have a test ride available - though I know that i am being optimistic.

First one in Pune ? Nope, when i was there last month in the showroom you mentioned, Red which was for display was to be delivered to one owner, was waiting for RTO formalities. There were 2 black ZMR's lying in the basement where you got to view the white one. In Dec they have started delivering it, as informed by the sales team over there. Also the one in Bavdhan have sold 9 ZMR's so far as per their records.

I have had Two Karizmas in the past (Premium Sports and the R version). The pads are from the Nissin and is really excellent but pricey. In Hyderabad it costs 2990/-

I usually had to change the pads around 12-14000 km, but please do mind that I used to rip a lot, infact all the time and loads of heavy braking was involved.

@Topic starter.

Even i am in the same dilehama. I am confused betwenn R15 or P220. Not keen on ZMR as I already had two Ama's and the ride feel would be identical on ZMR.

220 for raw low end
R15 for handling king
ZMA-R for touring

Guys,

I was going to book ZMR this week, but I came to know that there are some issues with the white with paint coming off and problem with dirt around stickers. Any feedback on the same?
