Hi,
I am a Doctor pursuing my Post Graduation and have been on the look out for a good and reliable bike. My chief requirement is intra-city travel during the week and a ride into the hills on the weekends. I have test driven the Apache 180 and Pulsar 180 and find both of them comfortable. I am not much concerned with the mileage but want a bike which will keep me happy (strictly minimal trips to the service station ![]() Also reliability is a big factor for me. For some reason Bajaj seems to be hated my all my friends and yet they drool when they see a Pulsar. TVS Apache has drawn mixed reactions with the chief concern being the quality and after sales service. Can you guys please tell me what I SHOULD GO FOR????? Thanxxx

hey doc go for pulsar 180 in my opinion stretch a little and give it a 220 street fighter; the apache is a king when it comes to sprints it will smoke even the p220 but handling overall rideability ???????? it lags behind the p220 with its enormous torque and being the fastest bike ever made in India is a best pick

P180-riding quality better than Apache, comfort better than A180,relaxed sitting position than apache A180-Better acceleration and top speed than p180,handling better than p180,better city machine,u can easily zig zag through the traffic, better cornering(stock tvs tyres are worse in wet condition) I would recommend u the menace if u can adjust with the vibrations

Who said Pulsars r not good?
Any bikes maintained perfectly,is reliable. If you are looking for comfort, then P180 is for you...or you can even consider P220,as milage is never a concern for you. If you want some Raw Power,Love Zipping in traffic,Apache is the machine. I was in same situation last year, while buying a bike.... I didnt get P220 instantly,so I bought the Apache 180... no problem till now.11000 kms covered. i m riding daily to office.(35 kms.) Buy any of them, you will never be dissapointed.......... Just Maintain your bike properly.... My vote------Apache 180 all the best...for your future ride... Last edited by sambit; 08-12-2010 at 11:02 PM. |

If I were you, I would rather buy a Unicorn, or a GS150 or the new SZ... its low on wallet economy wise... peppy enough to have weekend fun...
SZ scores an extra brownie point for the 'fresh' status

Hey thread starter, I didn't read your post. I didn't even see who you are. On a purpose that my following message should not be adultered.
When there is a conflict between the mind and the heart choosing between two good things, you'd better stick to your heart. Mind needs logic. It's course changes when a new logic is introduced. But heart sticks on to what it liked.

speaking of choosing betn mind and heart always stick to mind bcoz u can fool ur heart but not mind.
being a doc i think u wont ride rash on city roads which takes out the fun factor frm both the bikes chosen by u and as far as weekend long trips, not many hav a good night after long trips on these bikes... i think Karizma fits the bill if u r not concerned abt the FE els somebody here has already suggested a Unicorn or GS 150R. |
