Default 2010 Yamaha R1 or 2010 Honda CBR1000R Fireblade or 2011 Ducati 848evo

Hi all,

I am planning to buy a superbike this summer and I finally listed these three bikes:-

1. 2010 Yamaha R1
2. 2010 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade
3. 2011 Ducati 848evo

Please help me choose a bike. I read fireblah's fireblade and r1 threads and fireblah suggested me fireblade because i am buyin a superbike for the first time. I am impressed with his answer but I also liked the Ducati 848evo after reading farfromnormal's thread..but I am actually a fan of Yamaha R1.

I have been using Kawasaki Ninja 250R for quite sometime now, so I want to buy a bigger one. So please suggest me one xbhpians.

Thanking you,

I would say Honda Fireblade.

But choosing a bike is like choosing a wife. Everyone's wife don't suit everyone. So listen to your heart and do what it says.

Comparison between bikes of this caliber is difficult. Honda Fireblade is good but me being a Ducati would definitely go for the 848evo.

@sunilg - thank you for approving it very quick and i posted it in 'Superbike and Imports' because the superbike owners can find this thread and suggest me a bike. What do you suggest?

@the_lone_rider, pushkarb - Many people suggested me Fireblade as I am a 1st time superbike user, but in that case even Ducati is light weight and it has the best braking sysytem, BREMBO.

I am actually a lot more interested in 848evo and R1 rather than Blade

Thank You guys for your suggestions

These are Superbikes - they have superbreaks so you don't have to worry about them. All you have to worry about is what suits you and what you like that's it.

If i were you then i would choose between Honda and Yamaha because they have established themselves in Indian markets and have high commitments etc.. etc... India is like time pass for Ducati, they are more commited to Asia-Pacific, they have limited sales and handful of dealers.

not only the breaks, ducati has the best chassis and best tyres, PIRELLI SUPERCORSA

Will post a video soon where they were telling that ducati got these best things compared to other superbikes

Spares and Aftersales will be a bit of concern for you if you go with the Ducati.

Moreover, Fireblade is MotoGP god Rossi's bike. R1 on the other hand, has a handsome number of users in India so aftersales concern should be least with R1.

P.S:- I'm not a very experienced Biker, i just booked my first bike (1 hour ago) Honda Stunner. I'm telling you from a logical and economical perspective.

This tells it all... go for the R1 if you are a big fan of it... Else i would suggest the Fireblade than EVO... Fireblade is more easy to live with.
