Default Stunner OR FZ OR HUNK OR Slingshot

Hi ,

I am a college going student.I am staying in bangalore. Going to buy my 1st bike.

I have listed the below bikes.

1) Honda stunner.
Many of freinds suggesting to go for Honda stunner as this is a very good bike for a beginner(I have not riden any geared bike before . only used honda activa - for 50-100 kms only).
2) Yamaha FZ
I was simply zeroed on the first look of this bike.Dont know much abt this bike, even my freinds dont have this.Looks very heavy , hence doubt if this is a bike for me.I am just 5 ft 3 inch and 56kg.
3) Hero Honda Hunk
Heard many good things abt this bikes from my frends. It also seems very heavy for me.
4) Suzuki slingshot plus.
I dont like the looks of this bike. But many of my collegues suggesting to go for it as this is a good bike for beginner.

Please suggest which should be a good option for me.

All the Bikes which you have mentioned is more or less having some problems,
For a beginner i would suggest P135LS,,,,, You will never think back after buying this......

Stunner : Fully Refined Bike, Not suitable for rash driving Good Looks, Average Mileage, Pathetic Honda service and parts availability
FZ : Definite bike for rash driving, Mileage is a big concern, Good service,Amazing Killer Looks
Hunk : Heavy Bike, Mileage is a concern, Good Looks, Nothing much to say
Slingshot: New Kid on the Road, Bad looks, service and parts availability is a concern

P135 : Fully loaded, Bajaj Brand name lives up to the values, good service, mileage and parts availability, Amazing Bike for a starter.........

Final call,,,,, you ride all the bikes then come to the conclusion,,,,,,,,,

happy riding......

You didn't mention budget? but options include FZ, probably the costliest 150cc! but P135LS will give you same performance at much less price and it scores well on mileage front. Consider this if you ride mostly within city and for occasional highway rides.

Well if you are going to buy a pulsar, i would suggest that you wait for a few weeks until the new ones roll in. And as far as the other bikes you listed are concerned, if you are a power freak, you should go for the FZ, Hunk has a very refined engine, and slingshot is a very underpowered vehicle for its class.
My pick would be the HHH.

my first bike was an FZ. It looks big but it doesn't feel heavy once you sit on it. I am taller and weigh less than you and i have never found it to be heavy. You'd simply love its low-mid end performance. Its tailor made for city riding, and is known to be a good handling bike.
Since you love its looks, mileage not being a concern and it fits in your budget, GO FOR IT.

Surely not Pulsar 135. It has hard seats, bad vibrations and poor spare quality. Also not the Slingshot for it gives good mileage but not what I look forward to. I prefer the FZ

Thanks fro all the response.
Now I am confused ... though I like FZ-S much ...am little worry if this is a perfect bike for a learner. Many are saying FZ is a racing bike and not a perfect option for a learner to ride it.The option I like is Honda stunner.
