    110 cc - Dream Yuga
125 cc - Discover 125 (hopefully, ideally the 135 is suffice)
    150 cc - Honda Unicorn
Whay not a Platina and the legendary Splendor...??? They are cheaper too...

I'm sure, this is the only way going forward those who want power for fun and commuter bikes with huge mileage to keep the fuel expenses on the lower side. Anyhow, you answered it correctly why I want to switch from 40+/- to at least 55+/-.

Pulsar 200 NS I booked in March itself, still no response. I don't see it getting in our hands before July or may be even August, so had to decide now. I have been waiting anxiously from January thinking it will be available by April, then May and now I will be seeing June and really it has crossed all boundary limitations. Bajaj people can't even stand up to their own words.

I guess, in addition to yours list, they also have more or less the same mileage.
    110 cc - Twister
    150 cc - Pulsar 150, Suzuki GS 150, Hunk

Discover 125 ST is not coming anytime soon, it will be available by July only. So, its a lot of time for waiting again.

Should I go for Twister as it has some style quotient plus some initial pickup too. Any problems, which I would face if I go with this.

Plus in 150 segment: Out of the mentioned above bikes which anyone should go for. Its a very hot topic, only personal view. Please mention the reason for selection and let others decide upon themselves. No fights on this .. Please !!!

And also, why still use cc as reference for this? Shouldn't we be classifying w.r.t. bhp nowadays? Especially with segment busters like P135 / R15 / CBR150R / Duke? For offering something unique to the 'cc' defined segment?
I think we should use Price to classify them instead of bhp/cc/torque
Hero passion pro/Suzuki Slingshot/Yamaha Gladiator/Discover are on the same price range but deliver different FE and Performance.

Never heard of ARAI FE certification for any 2 wheelers' I though it was only for Cars. off course i may be ignorant..

Twister is fun indeed, but then u've to shell out ~51K for it. That's when I feel its overpriced for a 110cc mill. Nonetheless, its a Honda.

You get the same power plant with the Dream Yuga (again a Honda) as RG suggested, but I don't know whether its detuned Twister or the same.
Anyways, it costs ~43K, hence saving you precious 8K.

Plus in 150 segment: Out of the mentioned above bikes which anyone should go for. Its a very hot topic, only personal view. Please mention the reason for selection and let others decide upon themselves. No fights on this .. Please !!!
150 cc - Pulsar 150, Suzuki GS 150, Hunk. Take the GS 150R if you have a Suzuki ASC nearby. You won't regret and with sane riding, you'll get 55-56 kmpl in return. It'll favor weekend rides too.
Else, pick up any other 150cc from the lot. They are almost the same. All return ~50-55 kmpl under sane riding. Try the Unicorn but for the old age looks.
    Replies in bold.
OT - Please continue with the bookings of the NS. Agreed you'll get only 40-45 kmpl as mileage, but you won't burn/regret seeing any other NS/200/250cc mill on road. Don't miss out on the fun just because you took some decision in haste/agony/annoyance.

    Cheers.

Here is one. But it is a bit old (Jan 2010).

The following is newer (Jan 2011):

But I haven't seen a similar document for 2012 yet.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

This raises a question; per the excel, Twister has a FE of 85.70, while Honda claims 72Kmpl. Why would any manufacturer claim less? Is Honda poor with marketing skills

Why don't you call up Honda and ask?

Edit: Here is the official document from SIAM for Jan 2011

you seem to have a budget of 1 lakh.. Now look at the list other way around.
There are bikes which give the following mileage
    1. Around 70
    2. Around 60
    3. Around 50
    4. Around 40 or below

if you want 1. Go for any 110 cc or less bike available discovers and splendors top this list.
For 2. 3. 4. You have some 150 cc giving that mileage gs150r, sz series top this list.

With your money go for a 150cc mentioned above or buy any 110cc or below bike.
Death is always on my mind. I won't die absent-minded.
If everyone knows how you will ride today, you are them!
