Default I want to purchase a budget bike.

friends........My name is Anand Sharma and belongs to a village in haryana. I want to purchase a budget bike(within Rs. 45,000-ex. showroom) for commuting purpose nearly 35 kms. daily. at speed range of 55 to 65 km/h.
I want decent millage of 65. Looks dosen't matter for me only engine performance and riding comfort matters. I am not an looks enthusiast & want 125cc bike with robustness and long term(5 yr.) stability.

Till now I shortlisted only suzuki Heat. so pls. express your comments that should I go for heat or not. hows the performance of this bike. specially owners comments I need.

If u have suggestions for other bikes, its welcome but should by justifiable on performance basis not any other.

Extra Information:- My height is 5.8" and weight is 70 kg.

Does ur place have a Suzuki Service centre? If yes u can very well go for the Heat/Zeus.

U can also look at the Gladiator/Stunner/XCD 135.

EDIT : OOPSY , Gladiator and Stunner wont fit ur budget. So u can have XCD 125,135 as an option.

Hey Dude,
Why dont u check out Discover 135 DTS-Si???? Heard it's a very good bike for city commuting and my personal reason for not going for suzuki heat or zeus is because of the outdated CD-DAWN design which is a bit of drawback although i dont know about the engine performance of those....!

If you have liked he Suzuki Heat you may please go ahead and purchase it.

The Suzuki Zeus is all very fine except for one problem... the seat has a hump in the middle and the rider part is pretty short. I am 5'8" too and after riding for 30 mins or so you start feeling uncomfortable because of that hump. The Heat has a flatter seat than the Zeus.

It it comes into your budget you may check out the Gladiator too...

Do the Hero Honda iterations and the Honda Shine come into your budget?

Check out for XCD 135....

Perfectly fits your sort of a criteria...

Its a Jack of all trades and master of none bike which does everything at right balances and provides a good mixture of power and milege.

Zeus, to me feels underpowered but anyways if you have good service backup of suzuki in your area than take a test ride of that bike as well.

-Gladiator is also a very good bike but I dont think it would fall in your budget. Added to that, milege is also on the lower side

-Avoid Hero Honda colorful iterations, they are good for nothing bikes

-Discover is also one of the bikes...but its also not in the mentioned budget and is more oriented towards performance.....

XCD 135. It is a very very frugal bike. And I found that bike to be the smoothest Bajaj I have ever ridden. Almost Honda-esque. Five gears means you can cruise at your mentioned speed with great mileage.

I would suggest Gladiator too, but the problem is I doubt it is as frugal as XCD.

Smile Suggest you Splendor+, the proven one !

@anand Sharma :
Super Splendor and Heat are really robustly built bikes that can last 5 years of loyal service to you, but for your budget only heat fits the bill, but either of them may give about 60 kmpl under sane driving conditions.

Super Splendor is good choice and is really built robustly, a 40K done bike looks like newly mint one, and it scores on mileage front too !! But, Splendor+ can also do the job of Super Splendor, plus meeting your mileage and lonegivity expectation/s.

I would go with Splendor+ and be sure about mileage and guaranteed reliability, low maintainence of Hero Honda
