The one thing that can take a person farther than anything else is spirit. If one is determined enough to grit their teeth through thick and thin, there isn’t much that stands in their way. A glowing example of such determination is Aameer Ulla Siddiqui also known as Rider Aameer.

Suffering from an orthopaedic handicap, Aameer still lives his dream of riding, something most people find unfathomable. Not only an established rider, but Aameer also used his passion to encourage other differently-abled people to do what they want to do. To that end, he founded the riding club we know as Eagle Specially Abled Riders.

We have been associated with Aameer for a while. We are honoured to be the community partners for him and Eagle Specially Abled Riders. We have featured their numerous rides and achievements and we can’t be happier to have them as a regular part of our meetups.

Upon talking to him, we also asked him what the inspiration behind the name of their riding club was. He told us that Eagle is one of the birds that soars the highest in the sky. Just like the Eagle, we can also aim to fly high and the only limiting factor is our mind and our imagination.

He believes that specially-abled people also want to live a normal life. They have potential and despite the hurdles in their way, they have the courage to realize that potential. All members of the Eagle Specially Abled Riders Club are passionate riders and with a little help, they have enabled themselves to enjoy what they love to do. For the riders of this club, the help exists in the form of their machines- retrofitted scooters. Approved by ARAI, Aameer’s own retrofitted scooter has clocked over 50,000 km!

Aameer thinks that there was a reason why he was able to find and associate with xBhp. He told us that if anyone is searching for something related to bikes, xBhp’s name comes to the forefront and that is how he came to know about xBhp. The love and warmth he has received from the xBhp Community also make us take pride in the fantastic community that we have been able to build with you guys. Together, we have shown that xBhp is the unconditional home for motorcycling.

He also believes that being a part of the motorcycling community is special. He narrated an incident during their ride to Kargil where one of their vehicles faced an issue and how at that moment, he realized that they were never alone, and they never will be. They had all the help they needed and were able to see the ride through successfully. 

Aameer has also commandeered many awareness rides around India and has received numerous felicitations and awards. We also asked him how he is able to do all that he does and has done and told us, “I believe that God has been gracious and what he has taken in the form of physical abilities, he has given us in the form of mental ability. It is because of that ability that I have never let setbacks limit the flight of our imagination.” And that is also the message that he has for all of us.
