KLX 110 is a beginner’s dirt bike, small in size, and is mostly used to train basics like bike balancing and manoeuvrability to kids. Irrespective of the type of motorcycle racing, off-road riding is considered one of the best ways to enhance riding skills and is practised by many professional motorcycle racers around the world. KLX 110 comes with an 112cc SOHC single cylinder engine. The engine has a horizontal layout and is air-cooled for easy maintenance. It churns out 7.3 PS of power at 7,500 RPM and 8 NM of torque at 4,000 RPM. The motorcycle is literally a feather-weight at 76 kg ready-to-ride. This makes gear operation absolutely simple as the rider doesn’t have to worry about using the clutch. It makes sense as beginners (mostly kids) can purely concentrate on learning riding techniques. And it can be started using an electric start button and a kick as well. With overall smaller dimensions including 12 and 14-inch rear and front wheels respectively and a low seat height of 26.8 inches, the KLX is an extremely easy motorcycle to ride. Last year, Kawasaki introduced this motorcycle in India, however, it is not road legal and is required to be used only for training purposes.KLX 110 is possibly the best option for any parent to train their kid if they have serious intentions to get him/her into motorsports, although, at Rs 2.4 Lakhs on-road Delhi, it is not really cheap.
