• Custom Cycle Builder in Pune

I came across this article in The Hindu about a guy from Pune who builds custom cycles and cycle parts. Quite an interesting read. Read some more and noticed that he is an xBhpian as well. Though I think now quite inactive.

These are the a few threads that I found of ARTificialindulgence on xBhp -

Some fantastic stuff and real passion visible in those threads and the pics of his cycles.

Wish him all the best in his endevour and maybe I will one day own a custom cycle!!!

The Monk : thats an interesting read. i am about to invest in a bicycle for my 10 yr old son. he's hooked on to firefox brand however i dont know how good / bad that brand is. the way i see it, its basically an obnoxiously priced brand identity & u may correct me if i am wrong.
i used to ride bsa speedking & then a flying piegeon in my school days.
both, to my knowledge, have become historical brands these days.
am in a dilemma on what bicycle to get for my junior in a sub 10k bracket! these clearly seem to be beyong 20k league tho! :'(

To be quite frank, for a 10 year old who is growing up bloody fast it does not make sense to spend excessive money on clothes, cycles and anything else he will out grow superfast.

In another couple of years maybe. Firefox is good for the price especially for the age bracket. But again, I cannot think it wise to spend so much for something that is going to be used for so short a time span. But then I don't have children (not any that I know off ), so what will I know of the trauma you are facing!!!

If your son has siblings/cousins/close friends who are younger and who will inherit his outgrowings then go ahead and buy the FF. That is the best advice I can manage

Oh and BTW, these customs are 50k+ league

completely agree to the views... get anything for him & bang!!! he outgrows it in 6 months!!! :-(
i am thinking of getting a bmx kinda thing that he [& me] can ride for extended period of time to keep this 'outgrowing' phenomenon @ bay.
u have no kids from known / unknown sources eh? thats good to know... just a matter of time when u reach where i am today.
and 50k+ u say... smoking cycles... just forget it!
am not even reading the info on those links!
