                If you want me to be very honest. None of them are real MTBs!!! All three are bikes which look like an MTB but cannot really be used for much.

                What is your requirements for a cycle? Depending on that we can make suggestions.

                Going by expertise of frame manufacturing i would go for Mongoose. Though there are multiple Montanas, which one did you have a look at?

                Though when it comes to features the Montra might work out better.

                Also, what rates are you being offered for the three and make sure you buy THE CORRECT SIZE. As a lot of shopkeepers try to palm off whatever is in stock.

                Lastly at this price range, stay very far away from Disc brakes.

                  Sir , now i moved from my home to the city (Kochi) for coaching. I want to join the army so i came here to study for NDA and the coaching center is 5km from my current home so I thought of buying a cycle my with my pocket money , as an excerise for the NDA physical test and also to save money(petrol) . So I want a cycle for daily commuting and weekend trail riding . Am crazy about offroading so I love to own a MTB .

                    For starters i haven't been knighted by the Queen of England, so i am not any 'Sir' Though since you plan to join the army, you will be calling everyone sir very soon

                    If you are only planning to cycle for the 10km commute then you would rather save some more money and just by the Btwin Mybike.

                    A decent MTB which you would want to take to the trails would cost you a bit more than 15k. So you will either have to increase your budget substantially/ look for a good second hand bargain cycle/ give up on trail riding.

                      Well if you're looking for light off-roading or in our cyclist world it's called "Soft-trailing" which means it'll simply be a dirt track with some uneven surfaces then, a good hard-tail MTB will suffice. Something like the Trek 3700, it'll cost you about 20k but worth it. Though I'd strongly suggest you check the used bike market in which for 15k you can get some pretty decent deals.

Well the problem is I have a lot of things in my list [emoji20] and I can only spare 16k for the cycle and also I want to buy accessories like front&rear light, helmet , bottle Holder& bottle and lock . I need to buy few sports things and I don't have any personal income so the monthly money I get form my parents have to be used for daily living . So of the three which one would you suggest or any model in my price range

                            Just post a Wanted add on that Facebook page, it's a pretty active page started by my friend. Also don't be afraid for a used bicycle, most used bicycles are in top condition. Almost all my bikes are used ones & you can check my intro thread to have a look at my collection.

                            If you're looking at new then there's limited options of Btwin range, Rock-rider is a good product. Even Montra is doing well, But Fire-Fox is just fleecing people, better visit some bike-shop personally and check out.

                              Kaushik has given you the best advice possible. A used bike is your best bet at that price range. Though you might need time and patience to actually land a deal. I got both my bikes second hand and am very happy with the two purchases.

                              If you have a Decathlon store in Kochi (which i think you do) then go there, check out the BTwin bikes, they make the most VFM bikes at that price range.
