Re: KTM Duke 200 Review: xBhp's detailed ride report
I don't know if you've already got the answer, it's an engine breather pipe, connecting the crank case to the air filter box.Originally posted by shahrukh615 View Post
Can anybody tell me that for what is the purpose of this pipe??
I have attached two pics.

Re: KTM Duke 200 Review: xBhp's detailed ride report
Hi friends
I am taking delivery of ktm Duke 200 probably at the end of the week.
So what are the things I need to do while in the run-in process.
Some of Duke owners suggest me to change the engine as early as 100kms so that engine becomes super smooth, please suggest me about this one also.

Re: KTM Duke 200 Review: xBhp's detailed ride report
Go with what Manual says, no need to waste money. Today's new engines does not requires all this drama. Work on setting gear box and making the engine smoother a bit by using all the gears and not over stressing but also not babying it too much . Just get it serviced regulary as suggested that's it . Take care of Chain lube/tighten every 500/1000 KM.Originally posted by arjun001rao View PostHi friends

Yes, oil seals have gone bust. But only in 10 days is bad.Originally posted by hmunjal View PostHi guys,
Bought duke 10days back and recently i noticed some oil leak near engine. Attaching images.
Why would this happened and is it a thing to worry.
Showroom guy says some seal is broken, they will replace it at first service
Please post all queries in the Duke 200 thread under Motorcycle Ownership Section.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: KTM Duke 200 Review: xBhp's detailed ride report
Worst service from SNK Bajaj
I have been servicing my duke from the SNK bajaj service in pune which has been shutdown now.
Whenever I put my duke for service they indeed charge me 200₹ for chain cleaning and maintenance. And whenever I lube my chain I mostly never open the front sprocket part to clean the interiors there.
But today when I opened the plastic covering, I was surprised to see a bucket load of smudge stuck between the chain and the metallic plate.
So whenever you put your bike for service, kindly insist on cleaning the front sprocket area and make sure to check it before taking delivery.
SNK bajaj you suck big time.

+-15,000 from this figure, should be the price range, as per the maintenance and condition of the bike...
Rest is of course, dependant on what you and the seller mutually agree upon... Which may differ a lot from this figure.
You can get the bike if you feel its smooth and well maintained. Check its services history though...
Check sprockets and tyres' status. He should most probably be on the company fitted sprockets and tyre only so far... The chain should be adjusted about less than halfway...
Check for signs of damage and all.
And lastly, don't ignore anything you feel during the test ride. If all feels good, get it.
