sorry to hear about your bad experience at Honda Dealership, but we are not discussing it here on this thread.

This thread is dedicated to the CBR150r review, let us stick to the topic.

sorry for the OT sir... Will definitely try to stick to topic from now on... Anyways the cbr is better for touring than regular street use...

I have seen people saying i am not a fan boy and they will say hey buy this.. or buy that.....

if you are not really a fan boy then should advice them to take a test drive and decide.

The best way is to do TD

We cannot compare if we have not tried both.

blaming on switch etc was there even when CBR250R was released but now all gone and 250 has become a good bike..

A simple advice is to do Test drive and find the faults.. and you are the best judge to decide what you want..

I am not payed by Honda to say this
but i am a HONDA Fan Y ? I feel heart of a person and engine of a bike is more important than the looks...

just want to add that i respect your feelings coz you love honda...even i am not a honda hater...but what matters more is not brand but aftersales support... Anyways coming to your test drive point...what if a showroom denies you a test drive because you dont have a decent bike...? Come on yaar i really dont care who the manufacture is...all i want is a complete product...not an incomplete one... But yes i still trust honda's reliability more than any other company... Its bullet proof...

Finally thanks for the great and much awaited review...
But one thing I personally felt(just felt like that no offence) you should have compared with R15 V2.0
Again I have test driven both and only thing I can say in our daily life we normally dont get enough place to rev till 11k rpm even 8k peak power is also too much at times in our Kolkata typical traffic...apart from that few advantages Honda have like DOHC( though I dont know how much difference will it make) a lil bit bigger disk, pillion comfort, and may be the Battery....I cant tell that it will smoke R15 in straights becoz I havent tried it , but as per the handling goes I can bet that R15 will be untouchable in the curves and corners...forget about the track where it rules..rest its good but could have been better...

the cbr is faster in the racetrack by full 1 second...and thats only because of its engine which makes its power at 10k rpm unlike r15 which peaks at 8.5k... But as pointed the r15 was still a better handler and brakes ar far superior than cbr... And the debate between dohc and sohc goes on... Dohc is good for power at higher revs and sohc is better at low end torque. Overall power of dohc is better than sohc but i dont think it justifies the higher cost of production.... Dohc engines have a tendency of lower torque output at a specific rpm than sohc... In one word dohc engines are made to keep the engine on the boil to extract maximum performance.... Dohc engines revs much faster... For me sohc is better in these 150cc bikes... This is not a litre class bike... These are puny fun bikes... If a sohc can provide good enough performance for daily use why do you need a dohc...? And who takes their bikes to a race track...? Less than even 1 percent guess... What matters most is rideability in city and highways and in gear rollons rather than shifting at 11.5k rpm and keeping peoples life at stake... Cbr is no doubt a good bike...and people who bought it enjoy your ride... The only useful stuff is the closed loop fi...

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

What? Where are the numbers to go with his claim of the r15 being better?

First rides are always a lil vague.. They make claims yet say or do anything to support it.. Lets wait for a proper road test or comparo..

In my opinion CBR150 is pretty good performer esp at 6000 plus rpms..

I did 125 kmph with a pillion and they revs were arnd 10000 yet there
was no hint of stress on the engine.. It still felt it could do more..

well then the r15 v2 comes on its own after 4000 rpm...and turns to a beast after 6000 rpm... Its easier to maintain low rpms in city than revving it hard.... Well even if u wait for a review it wont do proper justice coz magazines post about the outright acceleration and top speed. Rarely they talk about rideability... The mags are just for a small reference....

There's a member by the name Killer who is a professional racer I believe. He has ridden both motorcycles on track extensively and according to him cbr is quicker than r15 by 1 second. This is on track, street performance would depend on different conditions.
