Rather than bashing Suzuki, look at the bright side - not everyone is interested in a flashy and sporty performance bike. We already have those . Tourer specific and VFM, the Inazuma will find buyers.
@vijeth v : ha ha ha! relax my friend relax.
i dont work for yamaha or any other manufacturer & i presume neither do u work for suzuki.
this is a forum to express opinions... everybody has one & nobody's is perfect.
lets raise a toast to a practical [ur p.o.v.] & ugly looking [my p.o.v.] inazuma & go back to work :-)
    makes sense?
    cheers!

@B.N.abhijit : congratulations mayte! now begins the toughest time... the waiting zone! darn do we all hate this phase! :-)
pls do post fotos & logs of ur experience here, once u r in possession of ur ride.

Indeed it is a forum to express opinions, there is no need to get offended. When any manufacturer launches a product, especially Suzuki, it would have done enough market research before launch. I was only trying to put across their rationale, their target customer base might be. I am very sure they know what they are going up against, considering that they compete with the very same competition even in other markets.
        Makes sense? :-)

Is that white or silver? Coz there was a silver colour bike in one of the earlier videos.

Jumping here from page 4 onwards.

110 kmph at 8000 rpms with a red line of 10500....??????? That just killed it for me man. Just sad really. I mean 110 @ 8000? Frack it man what were they thinking with a 250cc motor? That too with 6 gears?? WHY such short gearing man? Why? It will just be a pain to ride in traffic as well then. Don't get me wrong I love shifting gears, but in the ghats, not in bumper to bumper traffic. The first two gears are just going to be utterly useless. This is so stupid I cannot wrap my head around this. The awesome Karizma does 100 @ 6000.

My dazzler (stock) does close to 110 @ 8000 man..! seriously just wtf was going on in their minds???

Please go to Gearing Commander: Motorcycle Speed, RPM, Chain & Sprockets Calculator

You can see that CBR250R does 118 @ 8500 rpm. Whereas Pulsar 220F does 125.9 @8500. KTM Duke 200 does 100kmph at 8500. You can see speeds of many other bikes. Also, Dazzler , GS150R and such bikes will lose their breath at that point, whereas higher capacity bikes keep on accelerating. It's not just what speed at what rpm, but also how soon can you reach there, how much further can you go from there and for how long can you stay there. Else a Bullet will eat all the bikes with its tremendous torque.

A video that shows the fun capability of Inazuma and of other comparable powered bikes.

If the figures from gearing commander are not reliable, then above reply may not hold true!

As per my knowledge short gearing will give it good acceleration even in 5th and 6th gear and as a result it will require less gear shifts in traffic as well as on highways. you'll not need to down shift to over take on highways. short geared bike suffers in top speed department where as it accelerates better. correct me if I am wrong

                          Photos are great.

And bike looks UGLY!. ugliness amplified when posted with B- The King!

And its not good that this twin 250 Suzuki is no better than 6 year old pulsar that was a single and 30cc less!

Suzuki should do some proper market study before making products.

Best of luck. This will be a nice product as an upgrade to GS 150 in Pakistan. Indian GS 150 looks much better than this 250 my dear.

                          Edit:

                          Got the point!
It will work for returning riders with thinner pockets.
And the 40+ Yrs riders may pick this up.

yes your are right and also taking into consideration, the Inazuma seems more of a premium class commuter rather than a tourer or something else as said earlier. . . So, it doesn't matter for it to have a taller gearing and also yes, the shorter gearing is very useful in city traffic conditions as it causes frequent gear shifting in city rides. . .
