yup and may be if Suzuki considers these two, I am not asking them to completely remove of the silencer but make an underbelly exhaust like that of 200NS and Duke200 and also replace the tail like that of an puslar 135 or R15 V2, it'll look simply great. . .

The japanese website of Suzuki motorcycles mentions the peak power at 8,500rpm. Since it is already mentioned in this first impression that the power figure is not yet confirmed (mentioned just below the comparison spec chart), let's wait for the official announcement to know the accurate numbers.

That bike sounds fun and peppy rather than stern and angry. I had expected a more gruff tone from a twin.

Also did anyone else hear the constant scraping of the sidestand upon leaning?

You can see that CBR250R does 118 @ 8500 rpm. Whereas Pulsar 220F does 125.9 @8500. KTM Duke 200 does 100kmph at 8500. You can see speeds of many other bikes. Also, Dazzler , GS150R and such bikes will lose their breath at that point, whereas higher capacity bikes keep on accelerating. It's not just what speed at what rpm, but also how soon can you reach there, how much further can you go from there and for how long can you stay there. Else a Bullet will eat all the bikes with its tremendous torque.

A video that shows the fun capability of Inazuma and of other comparable powered bikes.

If the figures from gearing commander are not reliable, then above reply may not hold true!

                ....

How many 4 stroke parallel twin engines in 250cc you have heard that sound better (for example, a more powerful ninja250 2012 sounds like a 4 stroke single unless you rev the heart out of it probably)? Inazuma's not a big parallel twin like an 800 of triumph. For a 250cc, it sounds good enough I would say.

No, it definitely does not sound bad. I just expected a naked like the Inazuma to have a gruff exhaust tone. Your right for a 250 it is pretty loud. Just the quality of the tone was my concern.

yup looks way too better, hope they reduce the size of the exhaust to that and redesign some kind of other mirrors and make the tail little shorter only for number plate and indicators. . .

Been to this whole thread and i do understand that the looks arent great, they are not necessarily ugly as a few people suggested it to be. It looks meaty from some angles and if it holds up good, gives a good riding experience and has a non race moto about its behaviour then i would lobve to pick this up.
Guys what realistically do you think this will be priced at?

110 kmph at 8000 rpms with a red line of 10500....??????? That just killed it for me man. Just sad really. I mean 110 @ 8000? Frack it man what were they thinking with a 250cc motor? That too with 6 gears?? WHY such short gearing man? Why? It will just be a pain to ride in traffic as well then. Don't get me wrong I love shifting gears, but in the ghats, not in bumper to bumper traffic. The first two gears are just going to be utterly useless. This is so stupid I cannot wrap my head around this. The awesome Karizma does 100 @ 6000.

My dazzler (stock) does close to 110 @ 8000 man..! seriously just wtf was going on in their minds???

Are you sure the ZMA does 100@6K ?? Even the 220 does only a lil over 92Kmph at 6K.. I remember cruising at 6K RPM and roughly 80+kmph on my ol ZMA..

The 3 Spoke alloy isnt really a visually appealing design for all.. some might like it, i find it weird..

Realistically, the guys at Suzuki should realize that even though this is a twin it cannot compete head on with the majestic sales that the CBR 250 is doing or the Duke 200 is achieving if not priced right. Hyosung made that mistake when they overpriced the gt 250 and that bike doesn't compete with the Ninja nor does it fight with the CBR and the Duke. So practically speaking, Suzuki has no choice but to price it at the 1.40-1.60 (On-Road price) bracket.

I share your thinking mate but you never know what to expect. I personally wouldn't pay more than 1.40 in Mumbai.
