  • Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's First impression & ride report

Went to the Suzuki dealership here in Nepal and test rode the Inazuma 250.
    1. The looks of the bike... personally i didnt like it. Ugly styling.
    2. The ride quality is nice and comfy.
    3. Sound is amazing.
    4. Build quality is really good.
    5. Almost completely vibe free.
    6. Performance is much better than the GZ250 suzuki cruiser, dont really expect much from a small 250.
    7. Costs as much as a Honda CRF250!!!! Better to save 150gs more and buy DRZ400 or the new CBR 500.

            I like that console!

By the way, I sauntered in to the Suzuki showroom in Mumbai (Riya motors I guess) mulund. Dealer says festive launch is certain and it's delayed as company hasnt decided pricing yet. They apparently were looking at the 2 L price point but are now considering a 3L range! 😳😝😝

Said they arent accepting bookings yet but will notify as soon as Suzuki releases info. Just for kicks, I registered for the TD etc and the guy's demeanour just changed to all polite n friendly!

Guess some companies are just suicidal!

If suzuki launches this bike in next 10 days, i am going to cancel the 390 booking and go for this.

Bajaj and ktm are testing patience for too long. :banghead:

Haha. 10 days?! That's not gonna happen.

If you want something quicker, you'll have to settle for D200.
No other bike in the segment comes close anyway

I have been waiting for this bike to be launched in India since I saw it first online. If 390 was not launched I would have still waited for this bike

Considering it is a Suzuki, parallel twin and top class build quality. Any where near 2 Lacs is fine.

Yeah, Suzuki doesnt seem to be serious with performance segment in india. If they become little hyper active, they will kill other performance bikes with theirs.

Nice pics there. Ever since I've owned a Suzuki shogun, I've been a fan of Suzuki. But, after the fiero's "demise", if there is going to be a good bike from them, it is the Inazuma. I somehow like it. From the specs, it feels more or less sober and relaxed. But, with suzuki, you never know, riding their bike(s) is always full of surprises.

                      Cheers,

Sorry for late reply.. the Inazuma is 750000 here which means according to custom duty here minus the 1.6 to 1 rupee, it is costing roughly 2.4 to 2.6L indian currency. A friend of mine bought one last week and I did another test ride. I was impressed with the sheer smoothness of this engine, the torque delivery is really really smooth and sounds amazing. And it's comfy with the big sofa type seat, and build quality is top notch. But when I look at the bike..... the styling is terrible.

When is it coming there? Is the duke 390 available there? The 390 is not here too, only 200 and 690 duke and 690 euduro R.

I want to ride this bike so much.

390 is launched in India and couple if deliveries are done already. Full fledge deliveries will start at end of September.

You guys are lucky to have 690 there already.

Very true.. suzuki had always been a tricky manufacturer.. we will never know what the bike is made up of unless and until we try it.. i expected duke 390 to be of my taste but when i test rode it i wasnt Happy.. so unless we ride the machine we cant comment. Waiting for the arrival of the machine..

Glad someone agrees. Yeah Duke 200 was a hooligan, 390 somehow isn't. Moreover, I like bikes which have pillion comfort, like my ZMA. Inazuma might be a worthy replacement/upgrade to zma. Honestly (i am not boasting), very few bikes have the comfort of a zma.

The bike looks practical to ride with wider seats and comfortable riding position(commuterish). It somewhat looks near to the Fiero FX. A price of 1.5 to 1.6 L will be good, but more than that its very tricky. Suzuki, release a faired bike!
