There is 64.9 Nm of torque that is spread evenly throughout the rev range so that you don’t feel any peak or blank spots anywhere when you twist your wrist. The peak torque comes up as early as the 4000 rpm mark, which makes this bike a breeze to ride in city traffic. Also worth mentioning is the refinement of this engine, which is again unlike any other Harley that we’ve ridden before. The liquid cooling jacket helping cut down all extraneous noise from within the engine. Also it feels relaxed and happy to rev.
By my calculations - the bike has around 49bhp=50PS which is deduced from the peak torque and rpm figure.
    The equation is bhp = T x rpm/5252
Where T is torque, rpm is engine speed, and 5252 is a constant.

    Conditions :
Anytime rpm is less than 5252, bhp < T
Anytime rpm is greater than 5252, bhp > T
    Anytime rpm equals 5252, bhp = T

Street 750 is a beauty to ride on the highways . Very good control and road grip . Since the bike was in run in period , did not cross more than 100.
In City traffic below 40KMPH , you can feel its weight and it gets very hot . Riding shoes /shoes is a must .
Overall a very good Harley .

I had hired the bike for a day here in Bangalore and took it on a 120 km trip on the highway. It was an amazing ride.

I also rode it across the city in peak traffic. The heat from the engine was pretty intense when you're in inching forward traffic or at signals but once you start moving it's alright.

After 2 hours of the city ride I started developing a cramping pain in my left hip joint. I suspect this was due to having to crawl in the traffic using my legs a lot, since on the highway ride I had no pain absolutely.

Maybe there's an issue with my low speed riding technique and the position of the foot pegs. Could the tallboy seat from Harley reduce the discomfort in the city for someone of my height (5'11") ? Have any of you street 750 owners upgraded the seat to OEM or third party options?

49bhp must be power available at peak torque rpm. Since torque on this machine does not taper off very sharply at least till 6000rpm , it would be putting out 56-60 bhp.
Also it puts out about 1bhp more than 883 on rear wheel in stock .
883 puts out almost same power but it does that at much lesser rpm.
Also 883 gets a massive advantage in stage 1 ( filter+ exhaust+ remap) , but street being already a rev happy and modern motor gains only a few ponies at the top end .

              Harley davidaon street 750 review

              Hi bloggers,
Many people ask me about the harleydavidson street 750, weather it is a true harley or not. So i decided to interview one of my friends Shashank sawant who is a proud street 750 owner.
This is what he has to say about his bike...

              When did u start riding?
Ans: At the age of 17 on my father's platina

Which other bikes do u currently own?
Ans: Along with my harley i own a Bajaj V15

Why did you decide to buy a street 750
Ans: Me and my friend was just passing by the seven island Harley davidson showroom when we decided to have a look inside. When we entered inside, there she was standing here full glory in an all black avatar. That was the moment she stole my heart. I did some number crunching and just went ahead and bought one.

What do u like the most about the bike?
Ans: Everything!!! The ride quality, build quality and most importantly camaraderie of riding and owning one.

What is it that you don't like about your bike?
Ans: If i hav to point out then i will say that are a bit spongy and the tank capacity is not ideal for a tourer

What modification have you done to your bike?
Ans: I haven't done much yet as harley accessories are quite expensive but what i have done so far is:-
              1. Added engine guards (14000/-)
              2. Sissy bar i.e backrest (7500/-)
              3. Screaming Eagles exhaust (43000/-)
              4. Handel grips (2700/-)

Now the most favourite question of every Indian....kitna deti hai?
Ans: It returns around 18-20 kmpl on highway and 15-16 kmpl in city

Most importantly are you enjoying your bike?
              Ans: Hell yeah!!!!

So that was Shashank Sawant with his Harleydavidson Street 750.
