Why no comments on the 200 braking while on corners and nothing..?? Just a small paragraph.. The 390 review is really extensive and great.. However why everyone is ignoring the 200..?? In 100 pics.. 75 pics are of the 390.. Did I do any mistake in booking the 200..???

City ride is no where comfortable on RC. Not that people wont commute, it is very painful at that.

I didnt like the stepmotherly treatment for the RC 200? It didn't merit any evaluation? The net is flooded with the Rc390 reviews. Wanted something substantial on the Rc200.

The only coverage rc200 got was in the title, why??
And seriously, why is daytona even their in the picture?!
Rc390 is reviewed very well, a bit more about how it handles would have been helpful! Overall an unsatisfactory review.

I mean that the riding position is just a wee bit more steeper than the r15(just takes some getting used to for the wrist).. The pillion seats of the rc are more comfortable than the dukes..
The only thing that would be uncomfortable for only a few people is the hard seat.. Which can be gel padded for 200 bucks anywhere
I have rode the rc390 and I loved the riding position (well that's just my view)

A review of the 200 would really help.
Something more indepth than just the few lines that were thrown in as an afterthought.

Can we have the RC200 its deserving spot? Sidelining it in this review is like not reviewing it at all. Do not forget that it was a 200 that set the roads for 390 and now the faired siblings. I suppose this is the burning reason why there were no such bikes in late 2003. If they are subjected to bare attention in this advanced age, people certainly won't have recognized the plus factors in 2003.

My interest here, is to know which top brand is going to provide an after-market full system exhaust for the RC390.

Because factory exhaust note will be impossible to ride with after using a LeoVince FFE on my R15.

No bike has had much of my interest since R15 came.. Untill now atleast.. This Orange monster is too sexy and tempting.

                              Lovely review Sunny G.
Akrapovic seems to have made an exhaust for the KTM RC 390 CUP which is used in ADAC championships in Germany. Read the full review on the first page. I suspect that it will eventually make it's way to the KTM Powerparts section for the track enthusiast. However as in most cases it will spoil the unique look of the bike of course.

Where do you guys think would the R25 fit in? How will it stack up against the RC390?
The R25 seems to max out at 12000 rpm which is above the RC390, hence it might give it the edge, especially for slipstreaming in top gear on long straights. Also it is an inline twin so it might sound better. The horsepower seems a little less at 36 than the RC390 (44). If the Yamaha R25 comes to India, the price point will decide the winner. Also the Yamaha brand is more penetrated and known in our country, so from a marketing perspective that is an advantage for Yamaha. Quite frankly, I am not sure for what Yamaha is waiting to launch the R25.

It is to get a perspective of how capable in the Rc390 compared to a bike which is seven times more expensive (and the only bike available off the shelves in the racing category below 1000CC in India).

For a 6'2" person it's not too comfortable either as I got the feel of doing push-ups while riding, the handlebar grips felt very far apart. Seat's damn hard. Plus one can't lug the bike in traffic...you have to shift down to first if the bike slows to ~ 30kmph or lesser.

After getting back to my pulsar I was feeling like I've gotten on a TBTS w.r.t riding position and it became so much easier to live with in traffic.
You can probably use spacers to raise the bar a little bit. I have come to understand that even the R15 is not very comfortable to ride in traffic, more so since its got even less torque. An Airhawk might be the answer to your woes. Also people need to understand this IS a TRACK tool. However, as people use a superbike to tour even this will be used for the same.

We are not ignoring the 200. Visual spec comparisons have been done between the RC200 and RC390. You have not made a mistake in booking the RC200, however the only reason why I see anyone booking the 200 over the 390 is a monetary one, which is around 45,000 INR. Other than that, once you get used to the ergonomics of the 200 and if one day you decide to hit the track, it is the 390 you will desire for. Both are great bikes and almost equal in all the ways except as mentioned in the paragraph in my review.

Thanks for your feedback. However this is not a 'review' but a detailed first impressions. We had both the bikes for 1.5 hours cumulative on the track to us. Gourab (MG Biker) will be penning down a detailed review with some great pics on the touring / real life / daily use perspective eventually.
