Same here, Even I'm not wishing for a test drive
I am going to test drive on Saturday (Tomorrow is Pongal holiday in Hyd). If I will like, I am going to book the Blue color only and will receive the bike that day itself.
I was waiting for new Hunk but it may get delay till March. Anyway reviews are great for Hornet.

Can anyone give some idea if I will have to take care something extra with Naked Chain bike?
I have driven Hunk for last 5 years and I didn't even have to think about any extra care, except regular servicing.

      Hello Anoop,

Man I hope you would have test-driven & I hope you might have taken pics of the blue hornet

Yes, As you & I were of the same family who is worrying for the naked chain sprocket. All new sportier versions are now naked, I was asking same question to my friends & finally with no choice I'll take it. There are few sprays available for the lubrication of chains. (My friends advised me the same )
Other things you will notice, if you will mostly accompanying Mom, Wife or Girlfriend. You will be noticing the saree guard with no foot rest in it. Stupid showroom guys said you need to weld it if you want it. (He said it very cool). Same problem is for Fz, but my friend using an accessory from their showroom which fix this issue, but with an additional cost.
Rest of all ticked my check boxes right. Waiting for the RTO approval in TN.

Sorry, I forgot to update here. Already purchased on that day only .
Talking this in ownership thread now.
It's not blue as given on official website. It's too deep, almost black.
Pillion Seat is enough comfortable ,also not too high even for shorter people.
I agree, not giving footrest for ladies sitting on one side only is a bad design. They should have given the place to plugin footrest. Anyway I don't mind spending few more bucks to get such accessory for footrest.

        Here is the post.

Bike runs super smooth, specially @5K RPM at 62-65Kmph.
        Clutch is light as feather
Gear transmission is fine but little harder. I think should get smoother.

Letdown: Kick is nice feature but Kick only work on Neutral .

        Here are some pics .

        Panning got little wrong

          What is the price quoted in chennai?? here at coimbatore onroad price of the bike is 95xxx/- {includes warranty+accessories+registration+insurance}

Accessories list: saree guard (yes, he said saree guard doesn't come with bike), bumper, front & rear number plates and the accessories cost 3000/-

Insurance: Reliance - bumper to bumper coverage 95% ( I hear the very first time that reliance is offering vehicle insurance). When i asked him i want to register insurance in royal sundaram, but he refused to accept, and told me to change when i renew insurance next year.

I heard that if we go for insurance companies on our own, other than the one who already have tie-up with the dealer, the insurance claim in needy times go vein, because the dealers handle the case lethargically. is it true?

i spoke with customer service guys and also with dealer, they aren't aware of any happenings. But online, there are lot of unverified claims.

p.s: i booked one yesterday and is in waiting period for 30 to 45 days

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R First Impressions

I'm 5'11 105 kgs and I can tell you one thing the bike is comfortable for the rider but its not the best for pillion with the height and weight ratio that I have gotten. Just to put it out there for healthy guys like me who will be doing some pillion work, look eles where. I found it a bit back breaking but the shocks and overall ride quality helps but it's not the best for the price point it trys but over all I found since this being Honda it's overall price is for the Honda brand and doesn't provide the 2016 goodies that nearly every bike is giving these days. So if you want the AC headlight unit, with no kill switch which is a minor thing then go for it. But if you are like me who dislike new bikes because of not providing Electronic goodies then look eles where.

                        Hello guys,
                        I'm 5'9 and 110kg.
I'm confused between Bajaj Avenger Street 150 and Hornet.
Which bike would look good to a big guy like me?

Be happy and a reason will come along !
