Re: Mahindra Mojo - First Ride Report!
Awesome pictures there.
Though it is an amazing tourer motorcycle, the seat height which is on the taller side may be a concern for few people like me. Don't you think so? The 200ns was manageable for me, but I was wondering if there were tricky situations(and there will be many when you are planning to venture into unknown off road trails) it would definitely be difficult to manage the motorcycle weight with the luggage and everything. But on the whole it seems to be an amazing package. Kudos to Mahindra engineers.
EDIT: in the last PIC, positioning of mojo as a bull tied to the cart makes it looks purposeful.

Seat height is something that i wondered about as well and asked a few short (5'6" or thereabouts) riders. None of them seemed to have a problem, though again that's a matter of perspective.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

21 liter tank! 27bhp power! 30 NM torque! Dual exhaust! A definite looker!

Re: Mahindra Mojo - First Ride Report!
IMHO, in what way does this score more over the CBR 250R? I'm guessing the price would be similair to the Non ABS version of the Honda. With no wind screen and, similar engine output, it doesnt make much sense to me. Mahindra is yet to set up a service network in major metros (Chennai for example, I have been trying to set up a TD, to no avail).
OTOH, how is the off road performance? I see from the photographs that you've taken the bike on an off road trail. How is the power spread out in the RPM range? Any negatives? Was the lack of ABS a downer?

Re: Mahindra Mojo - First Ride Report!
My questions-
1. Does it performs atleast as good as CBR250R?
2. Is the Pillion seat more comfortable than CBR's?
3. Will this be a Good(In terms of performance and Parts quality) alternate to TB500 ??
My requirement it A tourer, which can do 100 kmph all day long and can accommodate a pillion for short tours. It doesnt have to be a corner craver.HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

Torque 30Nm @ 5500rpm and 22.9Nm @ 7000rpm. The price i expect would be closer to the ABS version of the CBR. You are right about the sales and service network of Mahindra, that is why they are launching the bike in 4 metros only initially, they themselves realize that that is the biggest weakness to be addressed.
Didn't ride the bike sufficiently offroad to form an opinion. With the tarmac biased Pirelli tyres, i doubt if it would have been a very pleasant experience either! As i mentioned there is nothing happening below 4500rpm and that is a negative in traffic. The lack of ABS isn't a deal breaker for me, though an ABS version will probably be made available in a few months time.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Re: Mahindra Mojo - First Ride Report!
30Nm torque, 320mm. disc (not sure about the stopping power though), 150 section Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 tyres, USD forks, 21lts. tank, less fibre to deal with.
I have a feeling it will perform much better in reality than the specs suggest.
This will be also be much better to take to Ladakh than the faired sports tourer from Honda!

Re: Mahindra Mojo - First Ride Report!
1. On paper it does. In reality, it has been a long time since having ridden a CBR, so cannot make an accurate comparison, but the performance of the Mojo is more than satisfactory.Originally posted by sambit View PostMy questions-

2. Again, pillion seat isn't very comfortable on the Mojo, i do not recollect ever sitting pillion on a CBR!
3. I am reasonably sure it will outscore an RE in almost all departments!
This will meet your requirements i would suppose.
I would even go so far as to say that this bike is made for people with your requirements!!Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

That made you sound like a SA.
Inspired me further to book one. I am not exactly looking for an Upgrade, rather a change of bike and get rid of the faired one. Will make sure of the Quality of service first.
