I have a feeling it will perform much better in reality than the specs suggest.
This will be also be much better to take to Ladakh than the faired sports tourer from Honda!

Bit of weight actually is a key ingredient in making a good "long distance mile muncher".. coupled with a good suspension

        of course.

I am not sure where did you see the weight of the Mojo from. But it isn't light by any stretch of imagination. It is 165kg dry. That would be approximately 185kg wet. Not light. Nope. Not light at all!

Actually I was just looking at the weight numbers put in the comparo 3rd page with the other contenders.
Dry or wet I did not see there so felt.
              185 is definitely heavy.

                Awesome review with brilliant captures!
Judging by the reported weight, Mojo seems heavy to me.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

The weight column of the comparo chart needs to be corrected. Thedry weight of Mojo is compared with the wet weight of every other bike

What was the top speed achieved during the run? And what about mileage figures?

Re: Mahindra Mojo - First Ride Report!

This bike basically doesn't have any low range. The fueling is not consistent till 4000 RPM.I still dont understand why Mahindra isn't able to fine-tune the fueling of the bike even after 5 Years of RnD.I mean dont get me wrong its a great bike but then with so much weight and Fueling being a bit downer till 4000RPM i feel there are other better options. Also since the Power to Weight ratio isnt that great one doesnt feel that much of a difference after riding 200NS/AS and Mojo. You do feel a little more pull from 4500RPM to 6000RPM on Mojo(Basically this bike goes till 135 easily compared to 200NS/AS) but nothing special that one trades their 200NS for Mojo.Single cylinder bikes are on the verge of becoming history

Hoping this is not a stupid question ( No dis respect to mahindra either pls ) .

what is the Purpose of this rectangular steel hose bang in front. This is a common trait i has seen on all mahindra bikes and they look plain ugly in my opinion. Infact they reflect cheapness in my opinion. it is just to show off ( differentiate ) or does it serves a purpose ?

Also , can it be coloured to black... or other color ?

This is part of their design philosophy. They call it 'golden ribs'. No functional purpose is served apart from being part of the frame maybe. I dont think it should be a problem to get them painted to black (hand painting will b the only feasible option I guess). The red colored Mojo has these in black.

The Mojo styling is inspired by Malaguti MR250, which also has those ribs ...
