Front channel ABS only. Not rear wheel.

I really cannot elaborate more than that because i was the rider and another person was the pillion, who was quite happy with the comfort. But it was for a short duration, maybe 10-15 minutes. How comfortable would a pillion be on a day long ride? I have no idea!

Thank you, Yes since there is no enforcement on Dual channel ABS, Most likely the manufacturers will opt for Front ABS as a shortcut.

Correct me if i am wrong, Mostly sports bikes are front heavy on braking and thus Single channel ABS might work just fine on them (Gixxer, NS200 etc)
But Cruisers have totally different design and have more stress on back wheels, so ideally they should have dual channel ABS

You have a valid point there. But let me put it this way.

If i am riding a 'proper' cruiser, a Harley or Indian or Triumph Thunderbird Storm i HAVE to use the rear brake. These bikes just don't feel right when using only the front brake.

I am otherwise a 100% front end braker.

On the Intruder 150 other than using the rear a couple of times to check its efficacy, i never bothered with the rear! The bike might be a cruiser in name and imagery. But at the heart it is the Gixxer. In a place like Lavasa, i did all my riding with the front brake. No rear brake required, no rear ABS required

If on the other hand you are someone who is habituated towards using the rear brake extensively, then yes ABS is essential. Also, you might want to break your braking habits!

love how it looks from the side, front view is nice too but the rear view is LOL

not into cruisers much, but still would have preferred at least a 250cc version of this instead...150 cc and 14 HP is too little for a heavyass cruiser..besides, 150cc is getting outdated fast these days and 200-250s from bajaj etc are getting affordable..even 250 is less for a cruiser, but would have been much better than a 150..

Suzuki aren't really targeting 'bikers' with the Intruder. You see the number of Avengers being ridden by office goers and it starts making sense. 150cc is the new commuting standard, especially in metros and bigger cities where Suzuki is present (the company doesn't have as big a dealer network like Honda, Hero or Bajaj).

250cc and you automatically remove your everyday commuters from your potential buyers list.

This is targeted as a mass market motorcycle. Look at it from that point of view and it makes a lot of sense.

true, but i meant to say that these days a whole bunch of "regular" (:P) people are riding bajaj's 200cc bikes, so an intruder 200-250 with a decent price may have worked for them as well..but yeah, if they wanna target the most basic commuter segment and consequently more potential customers, and if the pretty nice looking intruder is targeted at those customers, indeed 150 is fine then...also, yeah i didn't consider dealer network aspects..

but still, a pretty nice funky looking new small-cruiser like this intruder would have been also perfect for the 250-300 segment..maybe suzuki should do a bajaj and release 150, 180, 200, 220, 250 and 300 intruders for everyone

I don't know how old you are, but when i was a kid DC's machines were gorgeous and out of this world. They looked super cool. And then i grew up

What i am trying to say is, there ARE still tons of people who love DC's designs. And will love the Intruder's design as well.

Quick update from my side. Went to Aryan Suzuki, Domlur, Bengaluru to complete some of my documentation work on my Gixxer. They were giving first delivery and having a cake cutting ceremony for the customer. Felt good seeing that. They had both grey and black color on display. Honestly I did not like the bike at all.the black one is easy on eye slightly.looks very huge and disproportionate at all angles.
Casual enquiry with the SA,on road price here is nearly 1.28 lakhs and they have stock for immediate delivery as well.

The other sure thing about intruder design is that the key is right on the headlight and very easy for a traffic police to grab hold of it.

Took a test drive today. For my height (I am 5' 4) I found it very uncomfortable. The foot pegs were very far and the tank was so wide that the seating posture required legs stretched wide to the fullest. In an effort to reach the foot break pedal the whole wide saddle seat was rendered useless. May work for taller guys but for guys up to 5'6 it won't be comfortable (mu friend who's 5'6 shared the same views)
But I followed it up with Gixxer test drive and it felt so amazing. I was delaying buying avenger 220 just because wanted to try intruder. Avenger is far more comfortable compared to intruder but Gixxer felt even better. Got me confused.

Thanks for the update. I thought intruder seating position and height and exactly like avenger 150. So is the intruder ideal for a height of 6ft 2" and 95kgs. I am trying to shortlist the best bike or scooter for this rider height and also suffering from disc problem.

Hi, the Avengers are well known to have issues for someone over 5ft 11" with long legs. So going my Monk's review the Intruder 155 is a better bet for your height.

Just a reminder that the Gixxer has really stiff suspension which gives superior handling which can shame a Duke 200. But might rattles your bones in some patches of roads. So take a long test ride to see how it feels.

Not sure how the Intruder 155 is setup. If it's the same, you can easily adjust the preload of rear suspension and dial it down by one click from stock setting, for a more comfortable suspension.
