@Aryan - you were bang on target saying that is an Overpriced Good product. I think same for this bike and FZ16(should have been 5k cheaper) also.

Thanks Aryan for the nice review. I have more less the same impressions. With probably one difference. Had this been 10k cheaper, I would have bought it after selling my 220 even if it is just a 150cc. And then I would have waited for a 250 or a 400. Which is what I am doing anyways.

      Great bike!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Absolutely, unless there is a faired 600 waiting round the corner. First come first served I should say! The 220 came before. I took it. The R15 was a bit late on the menu. Yam's loss!

Ps; You also have a tendency of taking cues to build an OT!

I would say 20k cheaper .. i.e. 90k OTR in Bangalore would be the right price for that bike.

@Ken Da, what if a moderator will read it? You could have PM me regarding this.

To make it OT, this time it stands for On topic.

I find R15 too small for a guy with mine kind of Dimensions, i would like to quote chintoo here "It seems like Saboo is sitting on a bike originally made for Chacha Chaudhary".

To put my point across through pics:

You really are narcissistic aren't you!

To me, there is Nothing wrong seeing you sitting on that bike. And you like leaning? Take that thing round the corners. And you will know what I am talking about. Take it from me, a proud Bajaj owner! (And also from Aryan, also a proud Bajaj owner for nearly half a decade now!)

It seems pretty fine. Moreover, you are only sitting on the bike, not riding it. Take it out for a ride, with both your legs on the footrests&thighs tucked into the tank recesses&ask a friend how you look on it. I have a friend who is 6 feet tall&he looks pretty fine when he sits properly on it!

Nice write up :-) I'd not buy this bike for pretty much the same reasons, although it still is in a different league altogether, it's still a 150! If it didn't have that ugly rear, and if it had proportionate dimensions, i'd have bitten the bug long ago! Also, I found the finish of the plastics a little meh, especially the windscreen. It looks puny and like it's made of cheap plastic.

well, thats a matter of personal preferences. for me, with this kind of price tag the technology and quality on offer is quite satisfactory. i mean i cannot expect the quality of R1. and yes the quality of R15 is above any bike made in India today.

@aryan, we have some good corners near vasant kunj etc, well i still feel R15 is a good bike, but i guess after moving up Fz i will wait for Ninja or a 250 mill from yammy. If i had a budget i would have definitely gone for R15, i too feel its a 150cc mill for 1 lakh above.

But as per overdrive review 17bhp is good as bike is only 120kg, as per yamaha head who designed R15 said puny tyre is to not effect performance but has been radialled for safety.

You can go upto 60kmph, which is 4K. Shift up at 3.5-4K RPM in each gear. Come back when you have completed 1000kms.
