the headlamps look like eyes of a baby alien
Anyways the bike looks pretty good from the side profile.
Looks better than the new Fireblade though.2003 Kinetic GF170 Laser Sport Edition

The first picture almost took my breath away.Originally posted by Aryan View PostThanks, Nats for the appreciation. The 2010 R1 is many a biker's dream bike, I am sure.
It was like the R1 was staring at me!
Aryan bro, I don't usually say this to anyone, but you're definitely a biking photography & writeup genius! Well done indeed!
However, continue learning & improving though. Better is always welcome.
BTW How do you find the low rpm torque and comfort of this R1?
Some journalists were complaining that in the low revs, the R1 vibrates more than the common inline 4's, is it so?
@ snigdangshu: It is about 12-15 kmpl according to journalist reports.what is the mileage of this vehicle?---

My 11 Minutes with the R1
@Aryan : Great Pics and amazing writeup.
It was a casual Saturday morning today just like the every other saturday but today i decided to head out to the Honda outlet to enquire about the CBR 600 RR as to when it would come to India.
Also i wanted to checkout the CBR 1000RR/Fireblade in person.
Living in Mumbai , I have never seen any superbike or supersport in person except the Ducati's in showroom in town side that too from a long distance. [I know this might sound strange]
Close to my house, i have a Yamaha showroom which have all the Yamaha bikes available in Mumbai on display.
Its just stone thrown away from my house a 5 mins walk but i never went there but today i decided to just go there and checkout the R1.
After reading Strider's R1 Papercut Dream LINK. I wanted to know whats about the R1 that people like it so much so had to check it out.
I took the steps towards the showroom and just as i stepped inside there it was standing the Yamaha R1 , God i was blown away by the sheer size of this bike my jaws might have dropped on the floor
if i could even do that, my eyes were just focused on the bike rest everything in the background was all faded.
Its so damn huge the thousands of pics , wallpapers just cant do justice to what if feels like to see one in real.
For the first time i touched it, a "wordscantdescribe" kinda feeling went through my body. I was just staring at the minutest detail of the bike and asking myself, am i on planet earth.
Man cant possibly have made this magnificent looking machine. Its so unbelievable yet real standing in front of me.
I just could get myself out of the showroom but i had to somehow control my heart and let my mind take my footsteps out, its been one of the best saturdays I have had in my life
and words cant describe the R1. My Dad had also accompanied me, though he loves cars but he too was all praises after looking at the R1.
To all the R1 Owners all have a gem of a ride, But i had a great time with the R1 while it lasted.
I will be heading to the Honda showroom as i just found out that the showroom which has the CBR 1000RR on display is a bit far from my place.Last edited by Quad Master; 05-08-2011, 10:45 AM.
