  • Bike pooling

    Hii Guys,

I am staying at Malad and will be commuting to Nariman Point for another month i.e. 15th Nov to 15th Dec. Since the winter is setting in and it's going to be my last few months on a bike (I'm leaving for Australia in Jan 09) - I thought of a bike pooling idea.

If there is anyone crazy enough and cool enough (to beat that train stuffiness and heat) maybe we could ride to work in da morning.. I know it sounds wierd, dangerous and hot - but with safe riding, good jacket and winter weather - it will be good right?

Let me know what you guys think.. even if i can't do it - maybe some other guys can benefit.

I didnt know Mumbai is as cold in winters as it sounds in your post, or is it just the riding gears you are talking about.
Any how wish you all the very best.
I'd rather be riding my motorcycle thinking about God than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle.
Ride often, ride well, have fun.

Mumbai is not that cold. All you will feel is a pleasent breeze. And if you are sensitive to cold, even then beating Mumbai's cold weather is nowhere difficult.

I know about the winter here.. was just suggesting it as a good point for ppl who feel its too hot to ride in the daytime.

Like with any kind of vehicle pooling, the biggest problem is fixing a time for going to work & coming back. If you can find some one who has exact same timings then its fine else would be difficult.

                    Thats a good idea.

                    i stay in malad too,

but i dont commute to work to nariman, i commute only to mindspace & only in the evening & back in the morning ... like an owl on duty or a watchman & police i dont roam in the night, but wat to do !!

so best of luck if u find a partner to nariman point

it basically takes my 10-15-20 mins depending upon the traffic, & on return it says 5-10 mins, depending how fast i ride on the empty road.

Remember, you could be doing 30 km/h but the guy who comes and crashes into you could be doing 90-100 km/h.

You've replied to a year old post.. The thread starter is probably in Australia right now

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
