Two more docs. I watched recently:

1)The slow poisoning of india:

My rating : 10/10.

Info : "The Slow Poisoning of India" is a 26-minute documentary film depicting the effects of modern pesticide use on local farmers. India is one of the largest users of pesticide in Asia and also one of the largest manufactures. Farmers often use the wrong chemicals, while others overuse.
The film presents startling case studies from Kerala, India where villagers are paying a heavy price as a result of the exposure to pesticide spraying for many years. The film discusses the health impacts in other parts of India and also on how the enchantment of the green revolution in Punjab is fading as land and water bodies have been poisoned. The main beneficiary of this process is the multinational chemical companies which bind farmers into a vicious cycle.
The end of the short film provides encouragement to organic farming practices by showing several farmers who for the sake of the land, health reasons and their bank accounts have decided to switch to organic farming.

Info : From Beirut to Bosnia is a three part documentary by Robert Fisk shown on the Discovery Channel focusing on Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt and Bosnia. It spans different nations and different peoples, but the problems and tragedies, the false hopes and betrayals, these are always the same. Muslims all over the world bear the brunt of Western foreign policy and local dictatorial rule. They pay the price of these policies and adventures with their land, freedom, property and lives. This mixture, of oppression, poverty and abuse has alienated millions of Muslims from their own governments as well as from some in the West. Today we witness a region on fire, plagued with instability. Robert Fisk analyses some of the root causes of the conflicts and tragedies we hear about daily.
This Films for the Humanities production focuses its capable eye on Lebanon's guerilla war that aims to liberate southern Lebanon from Israeli control. The scope of this tragic conflict is
brought into sharp focus in this documentary through the use of extensive interviews with participants from the Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad movements, views of civilian casualties caused by Israeli air attacks, and photographic evidence of the ongoing destruction of life and property in the region. The viewer should be advised that this video contains some disturbing scenes of this conflict.

Superhero is pretty old movie, already telecased on HBO/Start movies. But a decent flick to watch. Spoofs on spiderman

He is the villain in telugu version also. There are very good punchy dialogues in the movie for him, Great actor to say in the lines of Nasseruddin shah, paresh rawal..etc

Is it the same movie where the dwarf is theif and he is treated as child by a couple and old man has doubt on him!!! IF yes...its quite hilarious..especailly the bed scene.
