  • Moving to Gurgaon

I will be moving to Gurgaon from Hyderabad in about a month's time. I'm looking for some insight into the place from members in terms of general biking.

I am originally from down south(God's own Country), been in "Gelf" for over 12yrs, been in Bangalore for 4.5yrs, since last 3.5yrs been here in Hyderabad. The reason I say all this is because I have been generally used to the tropical climate in all these places. I'm worried about my capacity to bear those extreme conditions whether it be cold or hot in Gurgaon although conditions in "Gelf" would be the same but it's been over 7yrs since I been there

I'm looking for some general info like how the weather is throughout the year. What type of clothes I should be wearing while commuting around in those different times of the year, things like fog issues etc. How's the traffic situation? safe place to rent a decent house. Kind of foods available in and around certain sectors. etc, etc, etc, whatever comes to your mind, throw at me please

First of all a warm welcome here from Delhi/NCR xBhpians.
Gurgaon has the extremes of the climates, in summers if you dont wear full sleeved shirtm you will be tanned. In winters (as you are from south) you might feel more chill , right now its cold, max being 26-27 degrees and min being 14-15 degrees, gurgaon being an open place near the airport and highway the wind factor is there. There is no fog but smog is a big issue which is responsible for accidents specially on NH8 (Delhi-Jaipur), but it lowers down as sun rises.

Delhi traffic is slowly and gradually getting improved but idiots are there everywhere (remember Ceat tyre ads), Police checking is quite frequent specially on weekends and near festivals.

If you can let me know which company you work and the sector in gurgaon I will let you know which area would be the best to get a rented house.

      Shoot any other queries.....

And yes do visit Dhabha on sundays to meet other xbhpians
Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world
