This happened a few days before Christmas 2017.

I was riding from Bangalore to Goa. I think it was Panjim, or some other place in North Goa. I was solo on my CBR 250.
Got delayed while leaving from Bangalore. Left around 2:00 pm.

This is one of the time when I exhibited the zenith of my dumbassery. I forgot that it was a 700-800 kms ride. Somehow, in my head, it was about 300-400 kms. Maybe because I used to do a lot of South Goa runs back when I was in Udupi. Whatever the reason may have been. I acted like an idiot and got the tank filled only once. 13 Litres @ 30-35 kmpl.

It was the ghat section on the way to goa and no petrol bunk in sight. I had just crossed a toll booth about 30-40 minutes back and my motorcycle gave up. It was ~10:00 pm in the night, complete darkness on the road (no street lights) and no signal on the phone, with low battery (no power bank on me in those days).

I waited on the road for some time and noticed that 3 guys on a motorcycle were coming. Language barrier presented itself (My dumbass knows only Hindi and English), but they were incredibly gracious and helped me with petrol. I paid them Rs. 150 for 1 litre of petrol, but was more than happy and continued on my journey.

The whole incident cost me about an hour and a lot of perilous thoughts crossed my mind. I had an RJ motorcycle in Goa, in the middle of nowhere, with no connection with the outside world.
