Well mechanical engineering is the mother of all streams and hence tough.

According to me the most toughest is Electronics & Telecommunication and Electrical Engineering.
Take an example of a simple computer motherboard. Its a rectangular board which maybe comtaining million of tiny circuits hardly visible by the naked human-eye. You need a microscope or something to work on these stuffs. What i am trying to say is, a thing seems to be disinteresting when u cant see that thing with naked eye. No person in this whole world have been able to see an electron or electrons flowing through the circuits even with a microscope, although everyone says that electrons exists. Ofcourse it has been proved by various experiments but seeing is believeing, right?:-)

This is not the case in Mechanical Engineering. Take an example of an Internal Combustion engine. All the parts of it can be easily seen with the human naked-eye. There is a piston which is enclosed in a cylinder. It is connected to the crankshaft by a connecting rod. The connecting rod is connected to the piston by a Grudgeon pin. The cylinder is closed by the head from top and crankcase from bottom. The head consists of valves namely Inlet and Exhaust Valve. It also consist of Spark Plug to ignite the AF mixture. the inlet valve is connected to the carburetor and exhaust valve to the exhaust/silencer. When the AF mixture is ignited inside the cylinder, the piston undergoes reciprocating motion and this reciprocating portion is vonverted to the rotational motion of the crankshaft. This motion of the crankshaft is transmitted to the rear wheel of motorcycle via set of gears and sprockets.
So the thing is, its eady to imagine how an IC engine works because because we can see the different parts easily and we know where they are located inside or outside the engine. Nothing is hypothetical. Yes Mech Engg is tough but hard work brings success.

In case of I.T nd C.S Engg, you have to workout everything in a computer by putting the codes and seeing the output. So its kind of theory like to by-heart the codes.
      .
      Dont know about the rest.
Its my personal opinion. All the I.T, EXTC, C.S OR Electrical dudes out there please dont throw your shoes at me :-D.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

      Cheers!!

Ofcourse you can apply for EAMCET, being a nonlocalite should not create much problem, even i was born in andhra studied in gujarat back to AP to complete my Btech , i didn't write EAMCET though.

                Just a small survey here.

Suppose you want to become an engineer, what will you choose ?
                Civil,mech,electronics,marine engg.(or any other)........etc.

Why do you want to become an engineer ?

What are you doing currently ?(Student/Employed/unemployed/)

                If you are an engineer
What is your qualification ?(ME in xyz,BE in XYC,B.tech in xyz...........)

If you are not an engineer
                What is your Profession?

                TO all

Do you love your job ?

                  Automobile engineering as a career

                  Hello people,
I have just completed my 12std here in Bangalore.
I was thinking of choosing automobile engineering as a career. Not very sure about it.Most of the people have advised me against it saying that there is not much scope here in India.
Just wanted to ask the members here who might have completed it or have any info regarding this choice as a career.
Also is it true that automobile engineering in India does not have much scope in this country?

                    Off topic Approved & Merged.

Vijeth, Scope is there, but more often than not, the job might turn out to be of a repetitive/ un-interesting nature, as one of my friend told me once.

But if you have the passion for automobiles, your B Tech/ Automobile engineering have various sectors connected to it: Automobile related journalism, company level engineering/ R&D, entrepreneurship, etc. but it will take some serious time and experience...

Thanks a lot for the approval and advice.
But I am of the opinion that most of the R&D regarding automobiles happens abroad,so scope for recruitment in India is less ?
correct me if I am wrong?
