  • MTV Roadies 6: Hell Down Under!!

The only Bike related show that is popular with the masses!! Love it?? or Hate it??, its worth a discussion. We can discuss the positives, negatives and anything under the sun!!

My point: Love the ZMAs in the show!!!

    Off-Topc Approved.

I really don't know why am I approving this topic. My brain and heart both says this is going to be a futile attempt in dissecting what could have been one of the best biking shows in television. But, it actually turned out to be a worthless attempt! It has everything from politics to shitty attitudes; the only thing that is left out is motorcycling!

I really wonder why this show is actually called what it is. One of the worst shows on television, right now, according to me. But, then I guess there is a reason why it is so popular that it is in it's 6th season!

But then if they show them just riding for like 5-10 mins a show, then it would be boring from general population point of view. Guess Talking helps TRP ratings .
If its a half hour program, then it will be hardly 17-18 mins between aads. So i guess they would rather show them fight than riding So can just forget that its a bike related show and take it like any other reality show. Some times its fun actually

Ummmm.....If for a moment we consider that Ro(w/a)dies has nothing to do with biking and those people are not **bikers**. Then IMO its a pretty interesting show to watch!

I think its pretty nice to watch...pretty hard/comedy tasks are given to the roadies in this season...!!!

Well, its sad though that Raghu became offline....so all those "Twists" won't be expected every now and then....

Frankly speaking..i love to watch the show!! and its the masala in the show that has made it popular.
Last week had some funny tasks..i pity the guys (if you know what i mean) and a long bike ride too!!
The negative i feel is that theres less of bikes and more of other stuff in the show!! but at the end TRP's is what counts!!

Well, I watch this show only when I do not have anything to do in a Saturday evening.
                    I watch it because,
                    1. I can see my bike (I mean, several ZMAs lined up) in TV.
                    2. I can 'know' that these 'Roadies' have covered some distance in bike. (In last episode it was said that roadies have covered 320km in bike in 13 hours. They only gave us a glimpse of that ride in 40 seconds)

P.S- Though, this time I would love to see the ZMAs in Australian road.

Totally agree. It is the worst show that I have ever seen on anything. It is popular coz it is a rigged reality show which is in fashion for a few years now!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Do they promote safety??.. I didnt see any sort of riding gear except an open face lid for the riders/pillion and they have had a good amount of injuries in their last Series.
Hope they have learnt it from the past episodes.

+1 to that. They are not bikers. They are just using the bikes to get to a place where they can do their monkey antics&bi*#$h about each other. Forgot to mention the females exposing to get attention as well. The twin judges seem to be a frustrated duo who think its cool to use abusive language&sometimes even get physical on the show. In spite of that, the youth crowd is ready to go through anything just to be seen on tv. What a shame!
I wouldn't go there even for a day even if they offered me a free Karizma. I prefer a 'real' ride with real bikers anyday.

P.S. Dada, the pic is really nice.

For me, the temptation is too much! Wow, on TV! I dislike quite a things about Roadies, but what I "like" is:-->

                              1. the Show makes Total fun of the contestants ... such strange stuffs! Last week, Girls were giving wrong answers & boys had to get a stick Attack on their "Main Point" ... Anyone saw it?

                              2. Auditions reveal such strange characters, we wouldn't meet otherwise...

                              3. New locations & places & cultural highlights!

So, one must always see the positive side too. If we decide to learn something from it, We WILL!!
