Well the scene is not much different in any part of India.. Even in Mumbai conditions are the same..

I myself have seen such incidents in Pune. I was in Pune for a year for work purpose. The other night I got late at office and left for home at around 12.30am from Kalyani Nagar to Kothrud. I was near Jahangir hospital riding my P200 and this gang of Bulletiers passed by. They were 6-7 bullets riding solo. Aahh forget riding..they were literally shiting on the road scaring the *uck out of other bikes and even cars with their rash riding. They just wanted a reason to fight.

I was bloody pissed of when they passed by literally brushing my bike's RVMs. Not one but almost all the bikes passed by with mere centimeters wide gap in between me n them. But seeing the time on the clock, number of people on the road if anything goes wrong and if I need some help(there was literally no one to b precise) and the number of people in that gang, I decided to let it be. No one's gonna give me an award for asking them why the heck u ride like this. I let them pass by and stopped at a stall for smoke. I moved ahead after some time and to my surprise they were in a brawl with some guys in a car. Even the guys in the car looked like hooliguns.

Scene is very bad guys. One has to be very careful while riding at odd times. Sometimes u can avoid such incidences like I did but sometimes even that doesn't work. And the worst part is, we can't do much for such Assholes..

All places have their share of street thugs,motorcycle gangs and what not..
I have found Mumbai pune safer at all times & i mean literallly at all times so that doesn't discount the fact what happened to Gore

Gore, its just the after effect of the incident. Give it some time, you will overcome it. I had a very bad accident&had multiple fractures in my jaw even before I could start my biking career(I was riding pillion). Similar dreams, used to feel scared while crossing the road even! Guess what my Dad did then? He bought me a bike! The only way to overcome your worst fear is by facing it. He knew the accident was not my mistake&given a bike I would ride carefully&so I do.
I say: When you do get back after your break, forget about stunting&leaning, cornering everything. Go back to the basics. Start commuting, decently. Curb the urge to race, stunt. Ride safe&steady. You will soon grow out of it&grow into a mature&responsible biker.

ur period does not justify things, i do not want to start an argument in this thread but after north indian incident i think Pune has take a lot of toll, believe me or not i haven't seen a police guy in my 2 day trip near connaught place, Kalyani Nagar, Koregaon park to magarpatta city. Its was really scary that if something happens who will u contact. But yes the auto i was travelling the guy was pretty smart he accelrated the auto at lightning speed.

I agree most cities are bad even gurgaon is not safe at night, but ppl won't come and bash you up. That guy has gone through a trauma of a lifetime anybody would be scared to hell, so please defending unusual things. "and stop being jugdemental and PERIODic"
