    @ken da: compared to port blair my place is a village.you name any make of vehicle and it is there in Port Blair.Even they are selling MT01. Haldia te to or naam e keu sone ni and about beach freindly it is very costly to tour in that part of india,though i agree most of us dont know how to swim including me. .And less crowd makes the place more beautiful and peaceful.
    Although i didnot got the return ticket from Havalok and had to return on the ships deck requesting the captain.

    price of fuel there:
    HSD=22.00rs/ltr
    MS=34.00RS/LTR

    some more from cellular jail:
    AMARJOYTI

    PUNISHMENT AREA

    Prisoners were kept like that:

      MT at Port Blair!!! Wow!

      I have visited Ross Island, Jolly Boy, Naughty Girl. Went sea diving as well at Jolly Boy to see the corals and the fish. It was one amazing experience. Went deep into the sea swimming at Cobyn's cove at dusk and while coming swimming back it was a bit scary as there were no lights, night had fallen and I could not much make out the point in the coastline from where I had started my swim!

      You have taken some nice photographs to document your visit to Andamans mostly as a tourist. Interesting to read your log and see your photographs.
      The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

            FRIDAY, 18/09/2009:

            ROSS –VIPER- NORTHBAY:
            ROSS-VIPER-NORTHBAY - Sailing - Everytrail

            Today we visited three Islands on big boat. It was a great challenge for me as I am very much afraid of traveling on boat. Later the fear was overcome. First we went to Ross Island. Now it is a naval camp. Earlier it was a place where British officer used to stay.
            Pics:

            Then we move onto Viper Island. As I told earlier, before cellular jail was built it was the place where prisoner s were kept. Now it is a no mans land. As we reached viper rain started and could not visit the place.
            Pics

            Then it was time for Northbay Island. Where in glass bottom boat you can see corals. Unfortunately most of the corals were dead and have to do snorkeling and go deep inside to see live corals. And I could not gather much courage to do that. just took some pic and returned to hotel in the evening.
            Pics.

                  SATURDAY, 19/09/2009:

                  PORTBLAIR – NEIL-HAVELOCK:

                  Today we were supposed to leave at 6:30 but suddenly the tour operator told us to leave soon as we did not get the tickets of later ships and have to leave early in the 6:00 o’clock ferry. We rushed to jetty and to our surprise the ship started just after we boarded .I was damn excited as I fear to travel in boat very much and now I was in the middle of a sea. I was standing on the deck through out the journey to take the view and off course in fear. Suddenly noticed something in the middle of the sea. Thought these are some birds diving into sea to catch fishes but they were not coming out. Later I got to know what it was and captured some of those trying for nearly 2 hrs when I was moving towards Havelock. Till then start guessing about it.

                  Reached Neil Island at 8:30AM.What an experience it was. Each member of my family was in there own world and was not interested in exchanging single words.

                  THE NEIL JETTY:

                  ^ Thats our boat.

                  VIEW FROM THE JETTY:

                  Our van was waiting there and we started our journey to visit Neil. First was Sitapur beach. We had our breakfast in a little hotel run by an elderly woman. We ate hot parantha cholar daal and some lovely coconut chatney.Ohh if you are in a daily trip to Neil then you have to order your lunch here and start the journey.Trust me she cooks some good Bengali food there. Remember the name its "SUTAPA'R HOTEL"

                  SITAPUR BEACH:

                  ^^ check the cave in the above pic though . I could not go there as I was with my family and due to full tide. Spending some time there we move on to Bharatpur beach. Boy what a beach and I can bet this is the best beach of India. And to establish that I can fight to
                  did bath there with my son until my guide started shouting that we will miss the best part of Neil or we have to stay at Neil.
