  • How to get permit for long trips on bike

    hey guys
this is a very general thing that when ever people around listen
that there is some trip that will be done on bike to places like simla ,etc . they normally dont agree to the fact it is possible ,and also feel it is very very dangereous ,

similarly when it comes to getting permission from parents going about any of these long trip ,the answer is simply no in my case
and it happens so that most of the time i am not able to come for local g2g due to time problems ,and when when i ask for long distance 2g2 like one going to simla etc .the answer is that u r having ur bike isnt that enough plz tell me some thing , some trick or clarification u all guys give to ur parents to let u on g2g plz repley

      Hey,

Well i'll give u a tip, but try it at ur own risk, it worked for me, may not work for others, here it is :
One fine day just leave for a long ride dont tell ur parents that ur taking the bike along, say something like "oh the bike? i am just taking it to a friends place from there well go in a car/bus/train/plane to shimla" then just leave on ur bike & give a call after reaching that u've got the bike along..................this is what i did for my first long ride..........since then my parents never say no for a long ride

@ bhatiaJ : it might work and it might not but One thing for sure if ur parents didnt like that tip, thy might completely sack ur bike and loose your trust.

@Sumeet : Bro try to tell your parents that people even do it alone just like me ..gain their trust and prove em of your skills. Its simply about your Honing skills. Tell your parents about your instincts and simply follow em. Try to bring your friends along and let them talk about your trip with your parents just like open discussion.

              ONE MOST IMPORTANT TIP:

never show ur "true" skills or "capabilities" in front of ur parents ...
always try to portray as a law-abiding rider & never engage in any fights on road when u r with parents...

in short try to win their confidence in u abt thr bike & ur riding style.

i have done that right from the beginning & now i have no obstruction of any sort...!

You can tell then ur going to a destination near by and then go wherever u want n then when ur back tell them bout it not during the trip or u may have to cut it short n return, this worked for me atleast so hope it does for you and if you can start with one day trips and then gradually ask them for permissoin for a bigger one.

actually my parents have no prob with my driving capabilites ,
i have been for local g2g but prob is they r one day from morning to evening so no probs , but going far away is a prob, there is another problem most of the trips like simla , timing r so that i cant come still i am in search of a g2g where i have time then ask my parents to give me a chance to do things my way . and

and not telling them and going ,will lead to key of my bike off my grip and my self out of the house

and i dont care for them only prob is they all care extra for me and intervention create mess , any ways i love my bike and even if i grew old and start to drive car for my daily travelling , i will try and keep a bike with me so that , i can drive it in eve ot weekends
