As Anvancy said ,out of these Fujifilm S8100fd is your best bet, just out of curiosity why aren't you considering Canon?

Well, No particular reason - the only one that stuck my mind is sx10, and thats way out of my budget.. Also, my cousin had a bad experience (twice!) buying Canon products Online.. so deciding against it..

Have short listed to Nikon P80 and Fuji s8100fd.. Now the pricing just matters, would go for the cheaper one...

Oh than its fine

. Between P80 and Fuji..dont consider budget difference, it will be minimal 10-15$. Fuji is the ultimate choice here

Well, I Have decided to go with Fuji S2000HD.. Please advice

Got a good deal from a local vendor itself.

Costing Me 15k, 4 year warranty (1 Year extended warranty by Vendor) and a 2 GB SD Card

Is that a good deal? Is the so called HD feature worth it?

Budget constraints, so couldn't afford the S8100FD which costs me 17.5k

Is there any specific reason you are not going for a Lumix FZ28. Just asking

. It costs a little bit more. ($300) Is aptly able. It too has HD video. ( I am expecting HD in FUJI means HD video capabilities)

It costs around 19.5k here.. White balance performance always a bit off ... Also I had a Panasonic - simple point and shoot (LS60) before , So opting for other brands..

By the way, Canon SX10 - 10 MP with 20 x Zoom was offered to me @ 17k (negotiable) without Bill (1 year vendor service warranty) - If any one needs it , PM Me!

Nikon P80 for 16k, 2 GB Card + 2 year warranty

or

Panasonic Lumix FZ28 - 17k, 2 GB Card + 2 year warranty

Still confused.. Some one help

^^Go for FZ28 with your eyes closed.Nikon P80 has some flaws which can't be overlooked.

I too am getting a Panasonic Lumix Fz28 as a gift hence no choices. How is the 'performance'

? Does anyone here uses it?

Finally... I got the Panasonic Lumix FZ 28!!

Paid 17500 in all .. 2 year warranty / 4 Gb Card / The camera / scratch guard and a Sony handicam carry case..

Sad that Panasonic doesn't provide or have any carry case for the FZ28 model...

Hope it was a good enough deal!!

^^ That is a very very good deal Ananth. Considering the camera prices being exorbitantly high here in India comparatively to the UK/US, that is a very good price.

@Ananth: Congratulations for getting the FZ (the camera)!

Now, show us some shots clicked from the camera. With that massive zoom lens, I am sure you can capture the Moon and the stars even!
