Yeah it aint cheap

I have not bought any new lenses as three of my existing lenses work on this. I'll probably pick up one more lens if I manage to sell my existing EF-S lenses.

I need some expert advice on the fuel that you experts use for your cams. I have a pretty basic Canon Powershot A540. I had been using Sony 2400mAH rechargeable cells so far.
But now I see the charger blinking, a quick google search showed that the cells need to be replaced. I was pretty disappointed with these cells. I've had them for about 2 years but havent used them much and now they are kaput.

1. can anybody recommend a better brand of cells that I can use with my charger?

2. Any recommended place in Bangalore where I can get these for a good price.

sanyo 2700 mAh, should be around 300 for 2 (or 4 i forgot

). You will get it for the same price either in National market or GK vale near national market. Get Ni-Mh batteries btw.

^^It's really weird to promote the camera which i am using.

The Canon A590IS, it's 'actually' one of the better cameras in that price bracket.Awesome features and a superb Manual mode which is akin to the SX100 and the picture quality is almost the same. The only downside is thats not pocket friendly and looks are nothin to rave about.

Just have a look at my photostream to see what the camera can do in all type of conditions!!

U can also go for the Fuji Finepix S700...Great cam. with manual modes...Been using it for some time now...It was around 9500rs when i bought it...

Dunno if its still available or not...Checkout some camera stores and find out if its available in your city or not...Here in kolkata, its available in some stores not in all the stores...The model is obsolete now i think...

I will second chicane, Canon Powershot 590 IS is one jewel of a camera in sub 10k budget range.
