same sentiments echoed here,I frankly don't want this car back after 4-5 days because by that time it will be a spare-parts bin or used in some unspeakable crime which will keep coming back over the lifetime of the car (running to courts to present it as evidence etc. isn't a very attractive proposition).

No sadly. Had this been in South Mumbai I'd be watching videos of some dude stealing my car in high-def. Sadly in Thane nobody cares. Finding a missing vehicle in Mumbai is impossible. Park it somewhere in Dharavi, Kurla, Mumbra and you'll never find the vehicle again. If the vehicle is found (and I hope it is found) then all that will take care of itself, won't it? God forbid, it is used to commit a crime, then the dates should make things pretty clear.Originally posted by gsferrari View PostI frankly don't want this car back after 4-5 days because by that time it will be a spare-parts bin or used in some unspeakable crime which will keep coming back over the lifetime of the car (running to courts to present it as evidence etc. isn't a very attractive proposition).A lone amateur built the ark. Whats the deal with insurance in India? Will they pay for a new car? Valet thefts are big world over, and the cars usually end up in chop shops or in western countries with jobless teens they do burnouts with it and leave it at the side of the road when it runs out of juice. But the insurance pays out and 9 times out of 10 its enough to get an equally good replacement unless you’ve spent an arm & a leg with aftermarket accessories.
Hope you get your rig back, or the insurance $ to buy something else
