  • Cooler master PSU are tier 4 where as Corsair VX450 is a made by seasonic
so its anyday better than a coolermaster.I have VX450 and it rocks.

Anvancy if on tight budget why not get E5200 and pair it with GA-G31M-S2L(2.2K) you can easily oc it to 3.3-.3.5 on stock cooling. And overclocking is real easy.

actually i am not that tight on the budget.

i am thinking of the GA-EP45-DS4P which is a non UC3 feature..that 2oz copper.i have ya i know OLD C2D E6300 1.86ghz....even i know corsair is better cause of seasonic while cooler master is essentially enhance!but some are saying the silent pro series and real series is good..lets see.

        1. Core i7 920
        2. Gigabyte UD5
        3. Corsair TX650W PSU
        4. G-SKILL 2GB*3 DDR3 8-8-8-21 RAM

Retained the existing ATI 4850, HDD and DVD-RW. Yet to get the RAM From a friend in US(ordered thru NEWEGG). Hopefully will be setting t up by 25th! Expecting it to be a stonker.....

Are u asking the price? If so,

            Processor - 15, 800/- - D0 stepping so a bit costly
            MBoard - 16, 400/-
            RAM - 95$ - ~ 4800/-
            PSU - 7,200/-

i want to ask one thing..for my knowledge..

is i7 really needed in case of gaming??wont a normal quad do??

also i7 is still in its early years.so what are your views regarding it.

what i presume is that i7 will be for those having a moolah right??

some help will be beneficial for me.

              • Yep, i7 as of now is not much of a use in gaming or any other apps, cos there are no graphics cards/apps to make complete use of it's multi-threading features. A 3-way SLI does not make even a quad sweat. To make the i7 swaet we need another CRYSIS. I got the i7 cos I never upgrade for 3 - 5 years at a stretch. And moreover I wanted an upgrade route in the future if I plan to do. The 775 socket will soon be phased out. Although INTEL is still unsure of which way to go(check here: Intel Stops Core i7 940, 965 - CPU/Mobo Corner - TechEnclave), i7 am sure will have a longer life than the 775 socket. Also one great advantage of x58 platform is that, it supports both crossfire and SLI on same board, no different motherboards.

Actually if u get a top-end quad,, it will cost u more or less same as the i7, albeit a few thousands difference(5 - 6K). Check the current rates at Chennai: http://deltapage.com/. The only areas u will save might be on the Board and RAM.

                      • Anvancy, just happened to read ur CoolerMaster SMPS related queries. Check this for more info: Corsair VX450 vs CoolerMaster eXtreme Power 600W - PC Peripherals - TechEnclave

And as mentioned only their Extreme series is bad. Rest are good.

                        • Got a new Palit GTX 260 Sonic. Its good card. Very thermally efficient too.
Got it for Rs.12,500 (- Rs.4000 for my old 8800 GT).
It seems the 4870 1GB retails for 17K here, surprisingly expensive to the NVidia.

                          • Avancy why you sad about having E6300, yep its old so what as long as it does what you need why care about i7.Are you running the E6300 @ stock. The 2.2K gigabyte board though cheap overclocks good.Their are lot of people running quads @ 3GHZ 24X7 on that board.

Gigas are monster overclockers. But giga. indias pricing policy sucks if u can source the boards from abroad that would be great.
