TDU finished long time back.simply loved the sounds and the hawaii map created by eden games.

EA knew the only way need for speed can survive is by reintroducing cops.their last ace.

the current top downloaded game is ofcourse spore.

and i am waiting for pure.

the spore demo is out (for the legal guys) .. have to try it out .. Anyway a bit of trivia for linux users .. basically torvalds wanted to call it freakz or something(don't recall exactly) but when he asked the admin to upload the kernel to usenet, the admin uploaded it under a directory that reflected linus' name with the Unix style x .. linux.

Lots of info on wikipedia about the torvalds/tanenbaum (linux/minix) feud and stuff. Neat reading.

Also linux is just the kernel and not the entire OS.

GNU's Not Unix so what is it .

pro street died as it was too realistic .. if you want to understand what I mean try out DirT .. man it's realistically boring and tough .. What they need is a return to arcade (carbon anyone) and cops just add to the fun. Although the progression towards having a wingman is something neat.

hmm anyone completed prince of persia the two thrones... i am stuck at the last level...(final boss) because i dont have any health upgrades just the default health.... and any news of Prince of persia 4 coming?? and how is The Witcher and Devil may cry??

Hey guys, i recently purchased the HP dv5T laptop.. got one word for it, its truly kick-ass. Got to be the best lappy for gaming this year. Its got a nvidia 9600GT 512 and i just loaded a few games on it, the ones which are demanding. It works smoothly. Getting Crysis in a few days time, lets c how that performs. shouldnt b a prob i guess.

Otherwise the configs are, 15.4 widescreen glossy WXGA display, centrino 2- 2ghz, 3gb ddr2 800 mhz RAM and a host of other features.

btw, anyone here played GRID??? heard its so much better than nfs..

just keep a watch at your temp levels.i hope you know that NVIDIA used faulty grease for their fan heating equipment which results in failures and shutdowns.HP AND DELL released bios updates that fluctuates the fan speed but doesnt solve the problem.it tries to evade it.so dont stress it too much.check notebookreview.com etc.

anvancy: before buying the lappy i knew the nvidia problem was existing. But so far so good, nothings happened so far. Yep, all notebooks equipped with the nvidia GTs belch out heat like nothing. The Apple macbooks get even hotter, this one does just fine. anyways, m not that a hardcore gamer, just wanted to see the stuff this thing could handle, and it works gr8

Go for Ubuntu. Its the most hassel free Distro i have ever used. And trust me, i have used a lot of them

Thanks. I Just checked Ubuntu's site, the latest version is 8.04.1, I am downloading it via torrent.......

in case you want a CD from them, you just have to order it from the site. They will post the CD to your address free of cost. The CD takes about 4-6 weeks to reach your place in India.

8.04 gives you all the Vista graphics + lot more, that too all free of cost!
