    • Finally, the problem is solved! Got a brand new Cooler Master 700W Power Supply today and have coupled that with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX260. Absolutely mind blowing performance! Playing the game at an godaweomsly resolution with all the effects cranked up to the maximum settings, with full anti-aliasing is simply 'just another day' for the card!

Trememdous! Now, I just can't help but wonder when is Diablo-III going to be launched! Or GTA-IV, for that matter..

I am hardly a techie! I just know that this is one heck of a GPU which is performing what I am asking it to, and then some!

          • @Aryan : Care to share the specs of ur PC's other components? I have an AMD Athlon X2 4200+ on an ASUS A8N-E. I use an HD4850. I think that the CPU is a bottleneck. Can someone explain why?

            • @Aparajith: Here are the specifications of my machine.

              Processor - Core2Duo E8400 (3GHz)
              RAM - 6GB
Motherboard - Intel model (don't exactly remember the model number/name)
Graphics Card - XFX GeForce GTX260..
Sound Card - I used to have a Sound Blaster Live card, but now am using the onboard 7.1 sound and I believe it is sufficient for me..
              HDD - 2x500GB

                  • @Aparajith: None of the above! Just playing some heavy duty FPS games, and simulations (Microsoft Flight Simulator X).. And waiting for some other awesome games to be launched..

@Simba: Naah, that is NOT truck loads of power. I am still missing the nVidia chipset based motherboard (coupled with an NVIDIA based mammoth cabinet) and ofcourse the Quad Core Processor.. Now, THAT would be truck-loads of power..

                          • me going to get myself a PS3 .. mainly for the BD ROM player. A few questions ..

                            1. is the india one only upgradable to firmware 1.8 or do we also get the 2.5
                            2. is the drive ROM only or does it support BDR and BDRE along with DVD +- R/RW/RAM and CD +-R/RW
                            3. Is the 80 GB one available in india as the 40 GB SKU has been removed in the US.

                            • @anvancy: Yup, you can say that is a diwali purchase! I thought the 100mm macro lens can wait a month, since there are plethora of games that are released..

@ram: I care zilch about which operating system would support 6GB of RAM; I am enjoying the load times of the games, basically! It's close to nil..

@Wiz: Yes, kind of - more of an R6 than an R1, I guess..
                              :)
